Q: I have never owned RIM or Blackberry. For years it has had ugly price movements and negative news. Today I quickly read a document from Citron Research which is surprisingly positive. I really like the idea of buying a stock that the "Wall-street shorts" like, since they've proven to be quite effective. It talks about its non-blackberry products and divisions and speculates that they are well-positioned to sell to the auto-industry. It mentions their acquisition of QNX, a microchip and operating systems company located in Ottawa last I checked. Can you read their article and tell us what you think of it?

Q: Always a nice surprise from Brookfield, to find a new stock dividended-out into your portfolio. I see that it's a global (re)insurance company, or looking for global opportunities at least. When BAM dividends out small quantities, prices to tend to drop as they get sold out of portfolios. Assuming that happens in this case, is this a reasonable opportunity to purchase more, to build it into a small position? Is there a projected dividend pay-out that you can see?

Q: I have noted in a couple of your recent answers where I thought Shop might be recommended you haven't. I know you expect great things for the company but was wondering if you are thinking a pause or drop is likely after the run up. Thank You
Q: Any additional thoughts on CJ's APA asset purchase? What is the likelihood that they will be in financial position to develop the newly purchased assets over the next 12 months?
Q: Hi! Do you know what is going on with Cardinal Energy and is the dividend safe? Thank you, Chantal
Q: I can not figure why CJ is down so much today as they seemed to have completed a fair and accreditive deal with Apache. Could it be Americans bailing on a Canadian asset?
Q: Do you think it's necessary to hold both US and Canadian utilities in a diversified portfolio? I'd like to add to both my non-Canadian position and utilities, so XLU seems like a good way to kill two birds. I currently don't hold any Canadian utility companies.
Q: Is there anything you can tell me about Sage Gold. I know it is a micro cap but it was up a lot today.

Q: To what extent do you think that the withdrawal of the USA from the Paris Accord will effect companies that focus on renewable energy. In addition to Algonquin, which companies will be negatively effected. Thank you for your comments.

Q: I hold AQN and have been very happy with it, but a proposed amendment to the share unit plan has me concerned. The proposal is that the maximum number of shares "available for issuance from treasury upon the vesting of the performance share units and restricted share units outstanding be increased from a fixed maximum of 500,000 common shares" to 7,000,000 shares. Based on the total shares out there, is the current 500,000 low by industry standards, or is the proposed 7,000,000 high. Insiders are proposing this, and I assume that only insiders would benefit from it. Could you provide your views on this proposal.
Thank-you
