Q: Hello team,

Would you please compare and contrast these two SAAS companies. I appreciate it if you can comment on their moat and and market as well as competition, quality of business, current valuation, momentum, and financial strength.

I know you like them both, but I have money only for one and I am wondering which one has more torque and a brighter future, for it is current growth is going to only accelerate further.

Thank you very much indeed for being the referee here.

1. Could you please provide the numbers for, and compare and comment on : debt levels, financial leverage, debt to cashflow, and payout ratios for EMA, FTS, AQN, BIP.UN, BEP.UN.
2. You seem to always rate EMA at the bottom of the list [Why?] but I believe EMA has sold off some significant assets [Emera Maine and others?, more to come?] so debt levels should be lower, so is it a secure buy now for long-term dividend income?
3. I worry that BIP and BEP both have extremely high payout ratios. You have suggested that a total of 15% of one's portfolio in these two would be acceptable. Are you still of that opinion?
Thank you........ Paul K

Q: The market seems to be discounting the likelihood that ACs $13 offer will be accepted or allowed. Some other Analysts have stated they think $13 is on the low end and that higher offers from other parties might still materialize. Would you be a buyer under $12 based on the assumption $13 will probably be the lowest offer accepted? Other thoughts on how to play this?

Q: EOLS has fallen a lot on the news that one of their large investors is selling 4 million shares to ML. Does this drop make sense to you. The stock was 29 dollars a few weeks ago and now less than 17 dollars. What do you think? Do you think it will recover and should I hold my position or sell.

Q: You answered Francesco on May 16 that to reduce currency conversion fees on dividends one should sell the stock in Canadian funds and rebuy in American. I have been told by my broker that I am able to journal over a stock such as BIP.UN to the American side of my account without sale and purchase fees. It is in my LIRA but I have yet to call to move the stock so it is an untested strategy. I have moved DLR/DLR.UN this way successfully.

Q: Currently hold both DOW and CCL.B. Is this too much of a "similar" thing as both are involved in packaging. If forced to choose one, which would you prefer. Thanks as usual.

Q: With the most recent slide I am sitting on a $3000 loss in VET, my only full position in Energy, also have a half position in Meg. For tax planning I'm considering selling VET. Do you have a recommendation for a replacement Energy company with a similar yield to replace, or would you sit in cash for 30 days and repurchase VET ?
