Q: Another one on Constellation.

All software stocks bounced nicely, in Friday's trading ( IGV - Tech software ETF also bounced off its low of $80, Thursday ).

But, on a day like this, CSU is down 4% (after reversing from $2570, on Thursday ), contrasting the trend of its peers. If CSU has been hammered, over past several months, due to AI scare, like many other software Co's, it should follow the trend and be up today, but sadly no.

It appears to me that CSU may have found a bottom, in the near term ( $2175-$2200), but could well remain range bound, until posting at least a couple of solid quarters, irrespective of the general trend in software co's ( AI related fears).

Would you agree with these observations ?

Q: Shopify stock has declined by over $100, from a high of $253, in Oct,25 to $150, now.

What is causing the outsized drop and negative sentiment ?

Even today when the entire Tech sector bounced back nicely in Friday's trading, SHOP has lagged the market and continues its downtrend of several weeks with a red tape.

Do you think strong earnings, next week could change the scene ?

Q: In their quarterly report today, which seemed very good to me, OTEX said:

OpenText is at the forefront of Enterprise Information Management for AI, and at our recent OpenText World conference, our customers and partners demonstrated on the main stage how they leverage our Aviator AI solutions to solve complex problems, bringing insights, security and compliance to their information and most sensitive data.

If this is true, and OTEX will benefit from AI, why has it dropped about 30% in the last few weeks on the AI Eats Software Companies' Lunch trade? This makes no sense to me, so I've been averaging down. The National Bank analyst, Richard Tse, reiterated his outperform rating in a post-earnings report entitled Still Like the Setup. Do you agree with Richard and I that Mr. Market is perhaps mistaken in its punishment of the stock?

Q: If one has a full + position - approximately 8% - in NVDA do you see any reason for also having a position in CLS (either Canadian or U.S.) , and if so, why ?

It is good to see the software companies at least remaining stable and some rising today. But, I have been wondering whether we have to rethink our devotion to CSU and other family members. With this recent fear you have said yourself that AI can actually help software companies and because of the important services they offer, they will not be going away soon.

But, you also said that although they are not going away today maybe some time in the future AI may succeed in replicating their services. So, the question is whether we should start thinking of CSU etc, as no longer the stalwarts that we have always believed them to be. We may begin to think that, although not today, but their days may be numbered and we need to get out before that happens. Wondering how you see this aspect?

Something I've always wondered: Do negative news items about the founder of a particular company — Microsoft in this case — have any effect on the performance of the stock? Last night on the news, I heard Melinda Gates talk about her ex-husband's apparent relationship with Epstein, certainly not helping Bill's image.

Or are these stories just “noise” and should be ignored?

Q: What are your thoughts on Haivision? The 4th quarter results released on Jan 14th looked very strong, and the company turned a nice profit, with good revenue growth. The stock has increased about 60% since then. Is it worth a speculative buy here, or better to wait and see another couple of quarterly results?

Q: Hi There. Please correct me if I am wrong but I understand that Google, Microsoft and Amazon are stake holders of Anthropic. Can you please tell how much % ownership they have in Anthropic?
