Q: Dear 5i Staff,
I would like to participate in the energy price recovery and the expected new US Administration favorable bias toward energy companies.
My question is it better to invest in Canadian or US energy companies now
Which of these stock you favor: Duke, Exxon, Chevron or maybe an ETF is better. Any other suggestion.

Q: Hi team,
following the company,s issue of close to a million shares due to the exercise of options, OPEC and non-OPEC members to cut oil production,would you recommend purchase of Ithaca,s shares as a good entry price or are the shares overvalued at the moment. With Stella scheduled to be operational would this add to the further rise in share prices?

Q: I own both CVE & ECA for many years now .Back when they were one company (Encana).

Now that the recovery has taken place my diversification in energy is higher than I want it to be . I have Suncor and BP as my core companies and I want to get rid of either CVE and or ECA (maybe both).

Can you give me consensus estimate for both CVE and ECA. And can you give me your opinion as to which one I should get rid of (CVE or ECA).

Lastly do you believe SU and BP are good core company choices for my energy sector allocation.

Q: Greetings,

Nicw gains in QEC over a short timeframe. I'm tempted to just take the profit and go away happy but I keep thinking about your advice regarding selling winners too early which I've certainly done more than once. Now that Quebec has passed Bill 106 it's hard to see another catalyst in the next year or two and it seems this will just drift lower. What do you think?

Q: Seasons Greetings: Please deduct the number of questions that you feel is fair. I have been smoked by NBZ and ready to walk away. My advisor is suggesting putting the remaining $$ I have left from the sale into BTE, BNP or TCW as to remain with the energy theme.

Your thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Q: Since your last question and answer on MEG, he stock has dropped from $20 to $7.75 just as you predicted - GREAT CALL. The stock seems to have bottomed out and appears to be showing signs of life. The stock has increased in price by 15% in December so far. Do you think taking a position is still too risky?

Q: Hello 5I team.
I have positions in both BDI Black Diamond and HWO High Artic Energy. My average cost for BDI is $17.98 and the average cost for HWO is $3.75. Both positions are worth between $5k-10K and are part of my energy services portion of the portfolio. I am considering my options presently in regards to consolidating to one name or adding (3K) to either one. I am traditionally a long term holder and I am thinking I would like to bring down the cost of my BDI shares but maybe HWO is a better choice overall? Please advise me what you might do in this matter.
