Q: Can you compare the two - similarities and differences? Is it a good time to buy WPK?
Q: What was your take on the update announced by Magna mgt for the coming year? They provided growth projections but there was no context in the article so I don't know if the numbers represent much in the way of growth.
Appreciate your insight.

Q: Bombardier has seen good growth over the last 6 months leading into 2018, do you see potential for continued growth going forward? or are you expecting with the legal dealings and trade with the US that this stock might have a rebound back to trading lower?

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Just read your answer to Stuart. We keep a spreadsheet on Google Sheets that automatically "captures" price data from Google Finance, and unfortunately Google doesn't provide Aequitas prices. Any ETFs or stocks listed with Aequitas have to be manually entered. :( Other than that, I suppose that Aequitas is "okay".

Q: For several years I have used Google Finance as a good starting point to understand a specific company's historical stock price trends, dividends, etc. as well as a means to compare with other stocks. This all changed in November 2017 when Google decided to abandon this excellent site with one that, from my perspective, is essentially useless. The new site also concentrates on US stocks, ETF's, etc. whereas the old site also contained information on Canadian securities. The change has prompted me to look at other sites. The only one I can see which provides something is Microsoft Money. It is somewhat more unwieldy than the old Google FInance but does provide some information. Can you provide some information as to what you would recommend as a replacement for the old, excellent Google Finance? I read that perhaps Morningstar or Yahoo were good alternates but it seems that Morningstar is somewhat restricted. I have not tried Yahoo
Thank you very much

Q: ORL has stopped trading. What's the issue?
Q: while BB "is not our favorite tech name" how do its 1-2 year prospects compare with GIB/OTEX/and DGS and any others you wish to reference -thanks as always
Q: Peyto has been going down week after week at the same time that NYMEX gas prices have been increasing. Your going to tell me that Peyto doesn't get NYMEX prices it gets AECO price. OK but WHY is the AECO price so low; NYMEX today is over $3.20 and AECO price is ??? I used to look on the Alberta Gas Inc. website for the AECO price but it has not reported a new price since January 8th when it was around $1.50. So WHY is the Alberta price so low?? Thank you for your help. I thought we only had issues with OIL pipelines. Are gas pipelines also a problem?
Q: In light of the Globe's vague yet suggestive article yesterday, https://www.theglobeandmail.com//report-on-business/streetwise/manulifes-us-arm-swept-up-in-ges-95-billion-insurance-writedown/article37628227/, how would you interpret this to impact manulife's overall business? The article implies that many insurers are ill prepared for the degree long term claims with this aging population. I recognize this is regarding the John Hancock business in the US and I am interested in your take on how this might impact the stock overall? Is it time to switch to Sunlife? Any of your well thought out advice is much appreciated.
Q: In your model portfolios you hold almost 100% Cdn companies with little allocation to US or International. Can you speak to why when the industry is constantly preaching to diversify outside Canada.
Thanks
Mike

Q: Hi guys
I see under the Blackrock website for CJP it states "BlackRock Asset Management Canada Limited anticipates that the units of this fund will be delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange at the close of trading on February 21, 2017 and will be listed on the Aequitas NEO Exchange at the open of trading on February 22, 2017. Please click here for more information."
Is that something I should be concerned with? Would they be doing this for reasons of saving costs?
Thanks
Stuart

Q: Just a comment on reason for GS share price down today.
GS had a news release yesterday. Net Outflows accelerated in Q2/F18 to their highest level in over five years, thus validating our concerns surrounding the recent departure of key portfolio manager Ms. Jeannine LiChong (responsible for managing ~22% of GS' AUM at Q1/F18) which was announced early in the quarter (Oct. 10th).
Publish as you wish.
Thanks
Victor

Q: I hold Enb DD 3.19 % bond and IPL 3.776 % bond AND multiple preferred shares from different companies
I will need to liquidate both bonds and preferred shares in next 3 months for home renovation .
1. Am I better off liquidating now or is there any upside to holding on ?
2. some preferreds have capital losts , can they be written off against equity capital gains (assuming I sell some equities as well.) ?
thanks
Ernie

Q: I sold EFN and bought ECN for hopefully more growth 6 months ago. Just looked and EFN is back down around 9$? I would have thought that EFN would be a big beneficiary of the strong US economy. What are you're thoughts? Do you think EFN is undervalued and a good investment?
Q: What was the sector rotation in the US you spoke of yesterday?? It was "a fairly strange market day with a giant US stock reversal."
Q: Hi Peter and Ryan,
Would you consider Chesswood group a long term hold as the stock hardly moves and if it does, it is to the downside. It does have a nice dividend but given its performance, it is not a good enough reason to keep it. Your thoughts please. Also, i am thinking of increasing my weight to 5 percent for Savaria or Constellation software. I am leaning towards Savaria (growing sector, decent dividend, good momentum), but your thoughts please. Thanks very much.
