Q: Hello team,
What is your view on Canadian Banks at this point? The PE ratios seem to be on the high side according to yahoo.. Also, can you comment on Descartes Systems earnings .. the outlook does not seem to be positive given potential tariffs that could be slapped on with new administration.. is it still a buy? Thanks very much

Q: Where do you expect small cap stocks to go over the next few years given that they have been relatively underperforming over the last few years seemingly? It appears they are starting to move forward and starting a catch up with all other bigger capped stocks.

Q: I am deciding on whether to sell this ETF. It has done very poorly over the past 3 years. It is sitting in my RRSP so I can't get a capital loss which I can use for the future. What would be a better ETF to replace this with? Does IEMG have some future upside?

Thanks for your assistance.

Q: I have added at end an addendum to the question I sent just seconds ago (my apologies):
I was making use of the Thompson Reuters [since renamed and/or bought by LSEG(?) ] that were made available on broker platforms and through some financial papers. The said reports have not been available at such sites for several months. LSEG does not sell subscriptions to non-institutional customers. I am looking for alternate sites and ask if you have recommendations e.g. Koyfin, GuruFocus, FinChat , Trading View—and there are others you would know. Would you also care to suggest the best stock charting tools available that include hard to find data such as PEG, forward P/E, EV/EBITDA &c. Thank you. :ao:sab

Q: Further to Rob's question about the Forums this morning:

I wonder if newer subscribers are even aware of the Forums, unless they happen to come across it by accident at the bottom of the website (who scrolls down that far?).

At the beginning of the year you replaced the "forums" link at the top banner with "Podcast". But I recall that the banner used to feature close to a dozen links, including forums, albeit with the words spaced more closely together. Granted, "Companies Search" takes up room now, but given the the wide spacing between the current handful of links, couldn't "forums" be fitted back in there?
And/or added back to the left sidebar?

Q: Disappointed with the last results and what seems to be the need to be willing to accept lower growth going forward. I had hoped that the company would break out this year.
Wondering what your opinion is moving forward and especially your thoughts on the stability of the dividend. At what oil price would negative issues start to arise here?

Many thanks.

Q: Question today from Indra, regarding taxes on ETFs purchased late in the year.

I'm a bit confused. My understanding was that Mutual Funds purchased late in the year did indeed become subject to income taxes accumulated by the MF during the entire year....but ETFs were not and therefore you could purchase them anytime throughout the year.

Please clarify....thanks for your help...Steve
