Q: Hello 5i Could you explain the options and timelines of the deal for the take over of this company. Also your recommendation for share holders that are currently holding shares of Bonavista. Thanks
Q: Most major North American indexes have recovered to within 5% to15% of their previous high. However the ETF "XDV" is still 22% below its high. What is your opinion for that lag?
Secondly, at a current dividend yield of 5.7%, do you recommend it for income and a long term buy and hold at this price?
The same question applies to DVY, the US equivalent which is 25% below its high and yielding 4.5%
Thank you.

Q: Hi,
This is about parking one's cash.
I know I have "slightly" less cash than Mr. Warren Buffet :))
But whenever I read that people like him have 134 BILLION dollars in cash or other Mega rich people sitting on the sidelines with literally hundreds of Millions of dollars, I have always wondered where these ultra rich people park their money?!
We the ordinary folks are struggling to get 0.65%. The same for them too?
Your answers have always suggested GICs, High Interest Savings Account and ETFs like PSA and very rarely Income ETFS/Mutual funds.
Any new suggestions?

Q: A comment for Bill and Paul on decumulating assets. I have used Cascades Financial Solutions as an individual investor. I found it quite useful for weighing options by changing the data inputted. It produced detailed reports and I found the cost very reasonable. Thanks for all you do at 5i. Frank H.
Q: Any reason for the price fall today (July 14th)?

Park Lawn Corporation (PLC)
-
North West Company Inc. (The) (NWC)
-
Magna International Inc. (MG)
-
Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (PBH)
-
Leon's Furniture Limited (LNF)
Q: Retired, dividend-income investor. Looking to top up my Consumer sector holdings. Currently have PBH, NWC and PLC, which are more on the Staples side of things. I have a "full" weighting on each, relative to my assessment of their risk. Considering getting back into the Discretionary side...maybe rebuy LNF or MG. Could you run a screen of Canadian Discretionary stocks that pay > 3% dividend and overlay that with your ranking from best to worst...maybe the top 5 for me to consider.
Thanks for your help...Steve

Q: Hi
In my cash account I want to replace part of my CDZ holding by 4% and increase my US and International by 2% each. I also want to capture the CDZ capital loss. In addition I like the 5.23% dividend.
Would you have any suggestions I was looking at ZSP and VEE as possible replacements and am willing to replace some dividend loss for gains.
I thank you for your time.
