Q: Hello Peter and Ryan
CGI has done very well for me and I am considering trimming it and applying the funds to FLIR, a company you have frequently recommended. Could I have your opinion on this move?
Thanks for everything. ( Really like the changes! Between you and your clients I am learning daily. Also reading Market Masters. Great read.)

Q: You just answered a question for Doris on the relative merits of CGI and Enghouse. You were quite definite in your opinion on the superior quality of ESL management, but you lost me after that. The wording of your answer implied that a large backlog for ESL was not a good thing to have. More importantly however, on valuation, I am getting much higher P/E values and much lower Growth/P/E values for ESL from my usual financial information source.
Am I misunderstanding your answer, or is your valuation based on parameters that I have not considered?

Q: Hi there,

GIB.A seems to be a favorite among analysts on BNN with numerous "Top Pick" designations in the past month. ESL looks pretty nice on it's chart but is less talked about. Would you recommend one over the other for someone needing exposure to this sector? If you could answer which is your preferred and why it would be a big help.

Q: I've been watching this stock since last yr when it was $39.00 and was reluctant to buy because I am retired and usually buy only stocks that pay a div. & have a history of incr. same. I am sitting on a lot of cash & since I hold all the blue chip financials and a few oil stocks perhaps I should bite the bullet and buy CGI? Is it too expensive now? I have a separate USD portfolio and would not put more money in there as our $ is too low right now.

Q: Hello, every one, Could you please help me to understand the current earning report of GIB.A, in which earnings expanded, but revenue was slightly shy of expectations. Since this is a growth stock, I thought missing revenue estimates would have negative impact on it. But the stock rose upon earning release. Your thoughts please. In addition, what is your view of this company? Also the company's debt level is high, will they issue more shares to acquire other companies in the future, if yes, how will this affect the stock?

Thanks,

Lin

Q: One pundit who is long CGI Group, as am I, thinks 2015 is the year this company makes a large takeover which ought to give the stock a big boost. How likely is that and how much cash are they sitting on since they pay no dividend yet seem to have been profitable for many years? I've held this stock since 2013 in US $ which of course has limited the appreciation and I'm wondering if I should continue holding for this possible event or fold sale proceeds into one of the current tech holdings and if the latter, which 1 or 2? Current p/f weight of GIB is 1% and other tech holdings (total 12%) are CSU 4% AYA 3% ESL, MDA, AAPL all 1% and SYZ and AVO 0.5%. We are in our late 60's, retired, but can take some risk in this area. Thanks to 5i for the handsome gains in most of these names except AVO (so far), J.

Q: I read this morning that CGI was able to generate 1.1 billion of cash flow, surprising analysts positively. They reduced their debt by 500 million. Earnings per share met expectations. Valuation is at 16.5x trailing earnings. Now that the debt and cash flow concerns are gone, it seems to be the perfect time to buy. What do you think about earnings?

Q: 5i team:
The wife and I both hold CGI Group (GIB.A) : ~ 20% each
in our TFSA's. We are each up ~ 17% from purchase.
Our approach for our TFSA's is to hold growth Co's.
CGI seems to be lagging lately. Would you recommend we :
1- continue to hold; 2- reduce the % held;
3- or take our profits and look for something to replace.
If 3, could you make a few suggestions.
Thanks,
we greatly appreciate your service.
