Q: Friends given the higher price to earnings ratio of the growth stocks in the Russell as held in IWO what is your opinion of IWD the holdings of which have a substantially lower p e ratio from both a safety and a growth perspective (does a lower growth tilt in IWD get offset by these holdings' enhanced safety in your view). Do you think a half position in both makes some sense this late in the cycle or would you stick with the growth provided by IWO. What concerns if any do you have re IWD and do you have a different recommendation for a Russell value etf. Many thanks as always.
Q: Hello 5i team. I own TD and BNS. I'm up over 20% on TD this year while I'm generally flat on BNS. Should I rotate out of TD to another bank or does it have more legs to run. I also own a half position in VB and own BAC and C in the US. Thoughts?
Q: The Colabor 6% debenture, GCL.DB.A , maturing in Oct 2021, is currently trading at 75% of par. The yield to maturity is approx 18%.
In order to benefit from this excellent YTM, the company “merely” has to stay solvent for the next 3-1/2 years.
Obviously there is risk here, but do you think that the chance of GCL’s survival until then is reasonable?
Q: I have a large position in BIP. I count on the income and the growth in distributions for my retirement. I was wondering if I should be concerned about their recent dealings with Brazil. Are they protected somehow or did they get such a good deal that the problems there can't hurt them. Can the involvement with brazil jeopardize the distribution in the short or medium term?
Q: Good morning,
Are there any studies or perhaps form your own experience, that have determined a general optimal balance between equity and fixed income allocations over time for someone who doesn't want to keep re-allocating asset mix. Is it 60:40 equity , 65:35 etc....?
Q: I would appreciate your comments on HLF. Is the debt straining the balance sheet, is the dividend well covered? I would be quite happy to earn a nice yield and enjoy a recovery in their business in 3-5 years. But if their business is failing I want no part of it.
Q: With Eric Nuttall (who I think you know well) calling for $100 oil within two years,
what oil stocks would benefit most and would Paex be one of them. Or do you not have much faith in Eric's prediction?

Q: SYZ has moved up the past few days. I don't see any news. Do you see any reason to account for the rise? What do you see for SYZ in the next year or so.
Q: I am more or less break-even on the above preferred shares. Should I sell them and buy CPD instead? Does it make sense? Or just stay put. Thanks for any suggestion/insight.
Q: What do you think of the prospects for FT, and why has it been falling? Generally speaking, are there any penny stocks you would recommend right now? Thanks.
