iShares S&P/TSX Canadian Preferred Share Index ETF (CPD)
-
iShares Diversified Monthly Income ETF (XTR)
-
iShares U.S. High Yield Bond Index ETF (CAD-Hedged) (XHY)
Q: I hold about 3% in XHY and CPD in a registered account. I'm wondering if selling those and moving to XTR would be a prudent move? XTR adds diversification beyond the two I currently hold.
Thanks....

Q: Can you explain the news released today? Is the Berkshire named in the report related to Brk?

Cargojet Inc. Common and Variable Voting Shares (CJT)
-
Spin Master Corp. Subordinate Voting Shares (TOY)

People Corporation (PEO)
-
WSP Global Inc. (WSP)
-
CAE Inc. (CAE)
-
NFI Group Inc. (NFI)
-
Kinaxis Inc. (KXS)
-
Open Text Corporation (OTEX)
Q: Two part question, deduct as necessary. Canadian Portfolio slightly tilted towards growth and not needing funds for long time. Looking to add one Industrial name to compliment WSP and PEO (if considered an industrial). Was thinking maybe NFI but would be interested in any other suggestions.
Also looking to add a tech name to compliment KXS, and OTEX. Having a hard time finding something different that could be a core holding for long term, only criteria would be that i am not interested in PHO.

Q: What are your thoughts on SIS's premature earnings release with disappointing EBITDA miss and lowered guidance? Also they pointed to less acquisitions and more focusing on getting the house in order. Obviously not good to hear they are struggling in Europe. I have always liked this mgmt and I feel they handled this primarily negative release well and I appreciate their transparency and guidance on how they plan to fix the issues. But what does this mean for a company that has struggled for the last 5 months, are we now looking at another year plus of lowered guidance, less or no acquisitions, restructuring, and beaten down share price? Thanks

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
You have been generally positive on BPY.UN -when it got down near $20 I averaged down and with the price jump have been feeling good about that - I have looked at scotia’s recent analysis of the most recent quarter . I own a lot of different REITS and it is the only one they show with an AFFO payout ratio of over 100% up to and including 2020- I know you can calculate things differently but assuming they use the same metrics on all REITS this is the worst one? Comments and analysis are appreciated
Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: Hi, Could you please provide the street estimates for the quarterly results to be released on February 22. Thanks
Q: I am interested in investing in this US etf SRVR which holds 45 percent of its funds in American Tower, Crown Castle, and Equinix mainly for the anticipated rollout of 5G. Bill Gates has just recently bought into Crown Castle. This etf has only been on the market since last May but has a 15 percent return to date. Can you tell me if this etf looks good as opposed to buying individual stocks as I prefer the etf basket approach. Thanks.

Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. (BEP.UN)

Brookfield Property Partners L.P. (BPY.UN)

Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)
Q: Hello -
I currently own BIP.UN, BEP.UN and BPY.UN in a CAD RRSP account. These three stocks pay dividends in USD. I do already have a USD RRSP account that holds American stocks. Would it make sense to move these three Brookfields to the USD account to avoid the exchange conversion fee when I receive quarterly dividends? I don't believe there is any issue in holding Canadian stocks in a U.S. account.
Thanks.

Q: Do you see any news to explain the move today? If not, what do you think is driving it?
Q: Ala owns a portion of a natural gas pipeline being built in the Virginia's. Can you give the percentage it has and the upside on stock value etc. It is called the Mountain Valley Pipeline. Your present assessment of Cron at this level would be appreciated.
Q: Is it a good time to buy WSP. It seems to me that if SNC ends up being convicted, and then banned from Federal government contracts, that WSP (also HQ in Montreal) could be a big beneficiary with lots of new business. Why does the media only mention possible job losses for SNC, wouldn't WSP just hire many of those people anyway?
Q: Hi Everyone at 5i! What are your thoughts on the future of Stella Jones? Is it worth buying at this point for growth or are there better options out there. Cheers, Tamara
