Q: I am 74 years old and need some of these money within next couple of years. So I try to watch my growth carefully. I try to keep to the 6% rule. But my problem is to find better growing stocks. So, why sell??
Here are a few questions:
Is it time to sell 50% of the following?
VUN , more than 10%
SHOP, 15%
Is MX safe for the next 6 months?
Can you suggest a replacement for NPI?
SIS has grown more than 70%. Do you recommend selling 50%
I know this is more than 1 question, just charge for them all.

Q: Hi, are there consensus numbers for Spin Master earnings next week? I'm curious to see if the consensus numbers are lower for the Q1 to reflect a likely higher-than-normal return rate, which as you said before would likely show up in Q1. Or do you think everyone is just looking past this now with the recent positive new product and corporate announcements. My guess is that they will show a double amount of return rate (I was interested to see that if you look at their past financials, there is usually about 5% or so allocated to this anyways, so just a fact of life for electronic toys I think), which will have a measurable impact on the Q earnings but not a large impact.

Q: Hi 5i,

Love your service.

Generally the Q&A answer my questions to my satisfaction.

I have about an 8% holding of EIF in my TSFA and a long term holding horizon. I have held it for a long time and it has been good to me. Given the current pullback and "short" concerns, I am thinking of reducing my risk by selling 1/2 position. Is this something you would recommend, or would you be in the "ride it out" category.

Q: Hi Guys,

I was surprised to see that you sold the entire position of CXI in the balanced portfolio on May 1st, considering I asked April 19th which 5 companies I should start with as I built up the portfolio, and you included CXI in your top picks:

"AIF, PKI, MG, SYZ and CXI look attractive today"

In any event, I understand things can change quickly. Do you think CXI is worth holding still, I'm down 5%.

Also, I'm ready to purchase 5 more names in the portfolio, can you let me know which are looking most attractive today?

Q: This is a followup to my question re: the class action suite filed against EFN. You replied asking for a reference to a link.

Here is what I have extracted from a news item on my BMOInvestorline account.

In particular, the complaint alleges that throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that (i) CGI's equity contribution to its joint venture with Element Financial Corp. was $68.2 million, rather than the $100 million contribution the Company reported in its public filings; (ii) the Company is being actively investigated by the SEC; and (iii) that as a result of the foregoing, CGI's publicly disseminated financial statements were materially false and misleading.
