Q: I considered a switch from DGC to KL when the US dollar started an upward trend. I did not make the move figuring earnings are earnings and we should convert earnings to Can dollar for an apples to apples comparison. Of course in hindsight I should have made the switch.
Was my viewpoint on the currency wrong in this case or was there another reason for the price moves in these two stocks? Could you talk a little more about how USD/CAN fluctuations might change investors viewpoints on our Canadian mining stocks and which companies can benefit or get dinged?

Q: Bird is up about 10% since announcing it's 50% acquisition of Stack Modular and is the best 3 month performer amongst it's peers (ARE, STN, WSP, SNC). Do you think further price gains and dividend increases will result from the Stack acquisition or will it remain range bound?

Q: Hello Peter,
My Frescii shares have tumbled 50% and am not sure if it is worth holding. What is your opinion? Do i hold or replace it with prometic or crh medical or for longer term knight (gud). With respect to Jean Coutu, would you expect the stock to go above 24.50 at a later point (higher offer) as my average cost is about that range or simply let the merger go through and I will get cash and some metro stock.
