Main question: How much overlap is there in the equities exposure of VSP and XQQ? Are there specific companies where any such overlap is concentrated to the point of being worth mentioning?
Follow-up clarification: In Derek’s March 30 Canadian pipelines question where you ranked 4 pipes on balance sheet strength and preferability, you named Enbridge 3-bal and 1-pref. What offsets the weaker balance sheet aspect? Balance sheet differences not being material? More reliable income stream maybe in the event of a sector meltdown? The track record on growth and dividend growth maybe? Size?
Q: Good Morning 5i,
Could you please comment on Enphase Energy, its solvency and ability to survive under these difficult circumstances and prospects for the future once the economy returns to normalcy, whenever that may be?
Q: thanks as always for your level headed thinking. I have a number of CAN dividend stocks as the core of my holdings. I now have cash that I want to deploy over the next couple of months. what are your top 5-10 US stocks (no regard to sector) that you recommend based on a 5 year hold.

Q: What is exactly the problem with EIF as its SP keeps on falling daily? Is this company actually has an operational/financial problem, or is the market's perception that it could have such problems going forward? EIF is one of my key holdings and I'm down about 40% so far (actually closer to 90% from the start of 2020). If it's the latter I might have to consider cutting my losses. Thanks.
Q: I sold this stock at a significant profit to trigger the gain as I had some losses I could use. I am thinking a stock like WSP could struggle for a bit and I may not buy back. Can you recommend a couple of good Canadian dividend payers instead (need not be in same sector). Thanks Bill
Q: I've been reading questions lately with the idea of receiving advice on how to deploy the 25% cash position I had pre virus....But thinking about this the world has changed. What looked fine pre virus doesn't look so appetizing during and post virus.... Specifically the mortgage business like my NLY shares don't look that good now...... Though I would be taking a loss would you advise selling and buying something like MSFT ? I could deploy new cash for that but wonder if I should re balance to a certain degree anyway .......
Q: With everyone staying home I would expect the amount of car accident claims to be much lower. Do you think it would make sense to invest in an insurance company like Intact?
Q: I am way under water on WEF. I see Mr. Pattison has spent many millions recently adding to his WFT holdings. Wonder if I should dump WEF and move to WFT. Your thoughts?
Q: Hi, Could I get your thoughts on these companies? Im thinking about starting positions in all 4. Please take as many credits as needed, I just put these all in one question since its easier than doing 4 separate.
Thanks
Q: Su up 15% today to $18.97 despite WTI's drop of 6.6% to $20.09.Please comment.Heard that Mr Trump had called Putin & S Arabia. Also awaiting Fed's aid package.Txs for u usual great services & views
In a recent post you cautioned against the use of Stop Loss orders and suggested alerts and limit orders. Can you please help explain your reasoning behind these recommendations. I have used all of these including Trailing Stop Loss with Limits and often struggle with which one to use when I wish to buy and sell.
Knowing pros and cons of each type of order type would be helpful to myself and your subscribers.
Can you please provide your outlook on Go easy? The valuation looks attractive but I am worried that their provision may rise. Are all of their loan secured? Also, government has asking Credit Card company to reduce the interest rate, will their margin being impact as well?
Q: hello 5i:
this is a currency question. My watchlist is made up of US stocks that we have partial positions in and which I want to add to. The Canadian dollar is, as we speak, in the .708 range. My expectation is lower, but not dramatically lower equity (lets us the S&P 500 as a proxy) prices. I need to convert Canadian dollars to US dollars if I want the currency diversification. What to do? Waiting will see (probably) a higher Canadian dollar at the price of higher US equities. Please help me make this decision: I'm stumped. Put another way, what would YOU do in this situation, realizing what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another.
