Q: Hello, I’m looking to add consumer staples to my portfolio. That being said, after Metro’s recent decline post earnings would you consider the current price an attractive entry point? At current prices, do you have a preference between Metro or Loblaw. I plan on holding both in a non registered account where I prioritize yield, dividend safety and dividend growth. I’m leaning toward buying both but taking a bigger position in Metro due to the recent price drop and higher yield. Thanks.

Q: In a recent market update you stated that the markets were approaching or beginning to appear a little frothy!!

Given that the markets have continued to reach all time highs (albeit earnings have been very good) do you continue to view the market as somewhat frothy or full on frothy??

How would you position your holdings going into a potentially frothy market?

Thank you
Tim

Q: Hi,

Curious if which of these companies you like based on potential risk/rewards - or if there is another similar company that you prefer?

Thanks.

Q: Hi team,
With no consideration for anything other than total share price return, which of these 2 names ( Well, CLS) do you see performing better from today’s levels? Well has been lagging for some time now . Wondering whether my investment is better spent buying into CLS now that it’s pulled back a little bit in the last couple days.

Thanks,
Shane

Q: Good Morning Everyone,

I’ve heard a stat that claims that ~80% of the returns since “liberation day” have come from 10 stocks. (MAG 7, PLTR, ORCL, AVGO)
Is this true? Is this unusual?

May I have 10 each of your favourite CAN and US value stocks to look at please?

Thank you!

Q: The situation ..... A U.S. ETF that pays a rather large dividend . I get an email from them with dividend announcements for every month ..... The ex dividend " and " date of record are the same ...... Hypothetical situation ..... I buy the stock today ...... It goes both ex dividend and date of record tomorrow..... The dividend is paid the following day ..... First question is how they would know I bought the stock in enough time to pay me ? The ex dividend and date of record are the same so I think I'm entitled to the dividend . Am I ? If the ex dividend and date of record are the same day I would think the " settlement date " { whenever that is } would be irrelevant ..... Is it ? The reason I ask is I can collect a rather large dividend and trade myself in and out of the ETF in a short period of time limiting my risk ...... If the settlement date does comes into play { It shouldn't according to their own statements } How long is the settlement date ?

Q: I try to keep 5i’s guidance on when to sell a stock in the back of my mind whenever I am looking at my holdings. Do you feel either of these two meet enough of the criteria to warrant selling? For instance I see commentary that (future) competitive landscape for NTR may have shifted materially with massive new supply entering the market? And notwithstanding recent DSG comments, it feels like something has changed? I appreciate your thoughts.

Q: Hello Team,

You mentioned earlier that when/if Small Caps go they should "GO".

Can you give you top 3-4 Canadian and top 3-4 US small caps that you think will "GO"!

Thanks.
