Q: Are there companies that are likely to benefit greatly from the wildfires up and down the west coast of the U.S.? I'm thinking of, in particular, lumber producers, but perhaps their stocks have already priced it in? Do any names come to mind in Canada or the U.S.?

Q: I'm hoping you can help me understand something.
On yahoo finance if I pull up a 6 month chat of HXS.TO and compare it to the S&P 500 index, HXS is underperforming by a significant amount (up 28% vs. 38%). However if I add HXS.U.TO (the US dollar version of HXS) it tracks the index much closer. Do you know why these two etfs track the index so differently?
In my RSP I buy HXS.TO weekly and journal the shares over to the US side a couple times throughout the year to buy US listed ETFs. When I journal the HXS shares over do my gains magically increase?
Thanks for your help!

Q: Good Morning Peter & Team
Appears to be some momentum in the commodities. FM is just now returning to pre-pandemic levels. What's your take on FM moving forward? Do you consider it cheap at this stage? And what would be your first choice regarding copper?
Thanks for all you do

Q: From my previous question, Re: Cramer discussing IPOs last week: it seemed he was suggesting that many tech / growth stocks would be driven down as buyers funded their new ipo positions with previous winners and that this would be a good time to buy growth stocks from this price action.
Your thoughts please.
Thanks

Q: First of all, thank you for all your great advice. It's appreciated.
I'm interested in ideas for some good stocks involved in "data protection," please. Basically cyber security I guess, but more specifically the protection of what the everyday individual does on the internet, social media, etc (ie: your personal data) from being collected and used by Facebook, Google, Apple, Amazon, etc, etc, etc.
If you have a differing opinion please feel free to express it, but my thought would be that what is done with our personal data and all the compounding issues that tie into this theme are a societal issue that will hopefully get a lot of attention in the coming years.. decades..
Thank you.

Q: Dear 5i,
Re Peter's article in the Financial Post article Sept. 17;
A comment was made about how an individual investor might
make a simple structured investment product using T-bills and call options. This interests me and I would like to learn more about how to do this and the risk and return behind this strategy. Can you please suggest some good reading material.
thanks
Ian
