Q: Can a stock be transferred in kind from RRSP to TFSA?

Q: In your April 20th response to Mike regarding FLTR, you said "We are not sure the company will list an ADR yet". I came across PDYPY which appears to be a FLTR ADR trading on the OTC market. It appears as if the ADR is .5 of a FLTR share.
- Is this correct?
- Is it possible to elect to receive the PDYPY ADR shares instead of the FLTR shares to avoid the excessive trading fees of buying and selling on the LSE?
- If so, are there downsides to owning the ADR other than making sure you put a limit price on any trade?
- I also noticed a PDYPF that appears to be FLTR shares trading on the OTC market but does not appear to have any trading volume. What is this and how does it compare to the ADR?
- if we can not elect to receive either of these in place of the FLTR shares and still want to be exposed to FLTR but not own LSE listed shares, I assume we would need to sell the TSGI shares in advance of the deal closing in May and buy one of these?
- which one would you recommend?
- will TSGI announce the closing date well in advance so those that want to sell have plenty of time?
Sorry for all the questions but I am confused and am hoping you can explain.

Q: Hi 5i - Retired income investor but also interested in growth. I have been holding FFH.PR.K:CDN for a number of years. Decent income but limited growth opportunity. It represents 1% of my portfolio. Portfolio analytics indicates I should increase my exposure to communications services. I've been thinking of selling FFH and buying BCE which I don't hold or adding to my current Telus holding (at 2.5%). Other options could be adding to Fiera (only 1% holding) or to TD (3.6%). Appreciate your thoughts and other options that provide relatively safe income with a greater long term upside. Really appreciate the good work you guys do!

Q: From your portfolios, can you please list the top 5 companies that are hit much more than they deserve in your opinion, and are solid investments in the next 5 years? That's for my children RESP, who need the money in 5 years.

Q: Hi !
I presently do all my transactions for the stock market on RBC Direct Investing. However, I am increasingly frustrated by the frequent breakdowns in the site. For example, this morning, 20 minutes before the opening of the market and now, 35 minutes after the opening, it is just impossible to check stocks or pass an order. In trying to reach the site, I get the following message: "The server is busy at the moment. Try later."
I understand the markets are seing increasing traffic lately, but I would expect the biggest bank in Canada to be up to the challenge.
Do you know if the problem of accessibility to direct investment account investment is similar in other providers of such service ?

Q: Hello Peter,
From your reports, Shopify has an inside ownership of 7.4 percent whereas Lightspeed only has 1 percent. Could this somehow be viewed as Lightspeed's management does not have the same confidence in the company as Shopfiy's? I am looking at LIghtspeed as potentially smaller version of Shopify's and am reluctant to put more than 1 percent given the inside ownership.. Please comment. Also, from the cannabis companies, would Organigrams be decent one at this price? Thank you

Q: I would appreciate your thoughts on SVM. Is this something. It recently agreed to purchase Guyana goldfields. Wondering also your thoughts on this acquisition.

Also somewhat related, there is a lot of talk about gold and wanting to own gold in portfolios. Do you agree and if so do you think you would do better off with the metal itself or individual stocks if you have 3-5 year time horizon? Thank you
