Q: I understand it is impossible to predict, but do YOU feel it’s wiser holding cash at these All time highs? Wait for a drop and pounce? Or buy at these numbers as All time highs indicate excellent businesses, assuming a long term hold.

I am about 25% cash. Too much in this market ? Thanks

Q: May I have your thoughts on the “updated collaboration agreement” between Power Co. SE (Volkswagen) and QS? It seems the agreement has expanded up to 260 million USD from 130 million. According to QS some payments will be received in 2025. It appears to me that sales are anticipated. Profits and positive cash flow are likely still off in the distance. Is the company being de-risked? The stock is down today, possibly more was expected or we are seeing “Buy on rumour sell on news” reaction. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

Q: Hi Peter…According to the Globe the US Treasury will borrow 1Trillion in the 3rd Quarter. Sounds like Trump has given up lifting the governments couch’s seat cushions to fund the deficit. I doubt the Federal Reserve will be able to do much to solve this problem. Seems to be good for gold miners even though they all took it on the chin today. Do you agree?

Q: I feel like I ask this question every few months, and suspect that it is a hard one to know with confidence- but here goes. The Trade Desk- it bounces up and down, recently with a drop over 50%. Does this look like a reliable bet going forward? Do you trust its momentum to continue near term? Is there an alternative you would recommend?

Thank you.

Q: say for example you have a million dollar portfolio, 800K in your RRSP and 200K in your TFSA. You want to hold 10 stocks total so 100K each, does that mean you would only hold 2 in your TFSA?

Q: Do you feel the valuation is stretched? Have been tracking results quarterly for the past 2 years and have noticed the number of stores, including Dollarcity, has been increasing while, at the same time, the number of common shares outstanding has been decreasing. I feel those 2 metrics are very favourable for the shareholder.

An option I have been considering is taking profits in DOL and investing the proceeds in CHP.UN and just compound the 5.1% yield. I recognize there is some risk with Choice REIT but it seems to one of the most conservative REITs available. The reason I am considering this option is my parents, over the course of their lives, lived frugally and saved a substantial amount of money by simply purchasing GICs and reinvesting proceeds on maturity; they never took any equity risk.

Thank you

Q: I hold partial positions in listed stocks. I would like to reduce and have a more concentrated sector holdings. Please advise those that can be dropped in favour of increasing the remainder and adding XLI for larger industrials. Could you rank with weights. What sector weight would you advise for total US and Cdn industrials? Thanks
My last question about ranking my industrial sector holdings, I omitted to add HEI and TDG. Hope you could add to your reply. THx

Q: Thoughts on these aerospace companies? TDG and HEI have been great compounders over long term and LOAR is a fairly newcomer. Can you compare the fundamentals against each other and if you wanted to buy now, how would you rank them? LOAR has higher growth potential but valuation is higher too. Thanks!
