Q: Hi Team,
In regard to valuation metrics such as P/E, EV/EBITDA, P/CF. Can you guys explain a bit on how to interpret these numbers to determine what is under or overvalued. I know you have to look at industry, earnings variability, growth of earnings etc. If your answer would take too long is there some reading material we could look at to learn?
Keep up the good work!

Q: I had to try out your new question format. If you had emoji's I would give it a happy face.
I would like to know which of these two companies you would pick for a 1 year hold or less. Capital appreciation, short term hold would be the push into one or another. Could you treat this as a trade over an investment. Also some of the reasoning behind your decision. I feel that they are at different ends of the spectrum in liquidity, value, type of business, technical, etc.. I am just looking for insight in how you might first make a decision to further research/purchase a stock for a trade (and/or for an investment), but mostly a trade. If you have another name you want to represent here over or instead of the two provided...Please feel free to do so. Thank You J

Q: Good morning
I am down about 35% on HLF...was thinking of shifting to RRX in hopes of recouping losses over the next 12 to 18 months...currently in one account do not have exposure to oil/gas sold off last year...no tax concerns...have quite diverse portfolio...hoping for growth will need to liquidate in 24/36 months...residency requirements...
Thanks

Q: What are your thoughts on EIF for growth and stability within an RSP for a 5+ year hold period? Thanks in advance.
Q: Is it me or is it the system? The new watch list does not seem to recognize any ETF I try to list:
ZID,VE,VUN,XIU or FIH.U.
Nor does it recognize some companies such as:
CRT.UN, DIV, GH, GS or UL
Any advice? Thanks.

Q: Feedback - not a question - in view of some of the other feedback.
Your efforts to take a fine product and service to a higher level - and your willingness to invest, experiment and test new and better ways of doing things is both impressive and much appreciated. Yes, there is bit of an adjustment since we tend to be creatures of habit; but the new platform/ format is great. Thank you.
I fully expect 5i to grow into a much larger entity over the years .... and eventually be part of an entrepreneurial "success story" case study in an MBA program.

Q: I really value your monthly updates, which I get in the e-mail. Are these stored anywhere in the 5i website? Is there an archive I can look up? Thanks.

Q: this stock has been given a good review on BNN and is in your income portfolio. I am thinking of selling our position in DRT and / or Exco Technology to generate funds. Do you agree with this move? Thanks, Lesley
Q: I would like to ask your opinion on the recent offer. The recent price of SYT:US is quite a bit below the offer. Does this mean the street believes the offer won't go thru, what am I missing here? Thanks
Q: Your thoughts on this please. Tx. A
Q: I hold the following equities among a wide variety of long-term positions. I have lots of patience, can wait while the cycle turns, and in no need of cash. I would appreciate your view on each of the following as to whether it is "dead money" for the near future and should be sold now. I will replace all sales by others. Aston Hill Trust units AV.UN; Mint Income Fund MID.UN; S.K.Telecom SKM(U.S.);
AG Junction AJ; Canadian Tire CTC.A; High Liner HLF; Inter Pipeline IPL; KP Tissue KPT; Street Capital Group SCB; Time Warner New TWX (U.S.); AT&T (U.S.). Thank you in advance for your wonderful service.

Q: Hi Peter and team,
I would like your thoughts on the recent partnership deal with Credit Suisse and also what your outlook is on CF in the near-term? I would have thought they'd be showing more correlation to the market and resources sector rising of late. Do you think if there continues to be strong market recovery that they should start to do well?
Thanks
