Q: Hi 5i Team,
I want to add some exposure to the gold sector to my portfolio. What would you suggest given the current market? Gold bullion ETF (CGL), Equity ETF (XGD or ZGD) or invest directly in a Gold producer like AEM ? And what % would you suggest for a mid-40 investor?
Thanks

Q: I’ve owned AAPL for the past 15 years+ and it now represents a 3.5% position of my overall portfolio. 10 years from retirement with a risk reward appetite leaning to measured risk. Top holdings in order are BN, GOOG, NVDA, AMAZ, WSP, BkNG, CSU, ISRG, V, AXON then AAPL. If it’s you, do you keep it or find something with a better growth trajectory? I’m over in consumer discretionary and under in staples so wondering if a move to DOL makes sense? Thoughts?

Q: Looking to sell LYB and purchase one of these two preferred shares can you tell me which one you prefer and why ? Both these stocks have wild fire issues out west in the USA. Maybe I should just be more patient with LYB to grow thus getting a capital gain as the dividends are about the same.

Q: Other than the joint venture partners, what companies do think will benefit the most from the AI infrastructure plan introduced by Pres. Trump on Tuesday? I suspect VRT and CLS will benefit, but I am sure there are others in AI support businesses.

Q: The listed companies have used their tech to expand beyond their original business channels to a point that they are woven into the fabric of society. At some point early on they were good businesses with high potential that have risen to levels I could not have contemplated. Looking beyond AI, can you think of three companies out there in any sector that are working on things that have the potential to become central to our way of life in the way that these giants have? These can be well known companies that you think are on the cusp of big things or smaller companies with ideas that are a long shot.

Thanks

Q: Hello, I am wanting to increase my TFSA Industrial sector from 12% to 15%. I presently hold ATRL CP MDA and DRX. Which would be better addition RTX or ATS? Another thought is add RTX and replace DRX (down 30%) with ATS. I do hold for longer term. Thanks for any comments.

Q: I have most of our Reits in our TFSA accounts, which I understand really should be for more growth stocks. If I take a position with CHP.UN and put it in our margin account, do you know how much would be Dividend and how much is other income that is taxed differently? Does it make that much difference?
Reits have been out of favour recently and coming to year lows. Do you see this as a buying opportunity, or are you cautionary? Do you see more potential downside?
Thanks so much!
