Q: Have a loss in ALA (and ALA-R) and am considering selling it and replacing with ENB. Could always use the tax loss. Do you think this is worthwhile strategy. Do you prefer ENB to ALA. I would like to buy one of these ETF's for income within a TFSA.
Could you comment on them and provide your preference in order.

I'm leaning towards MFT for the large distribution.

Q: I understand that Alaris wrote off the debt on the two companies but has it accounted for the original preferreds? In other words, are there still more write-offs possible for these two companies or have they really cleared the deck?
