Q: I am wanting to purchase the parent company of all the Brookfield names but I am wondering in which account would it be best in? My regular cash account, TFSA or RRSP account with the drip turned on?. I was leaning towards TFSA but want to know if there is any tax issue or disadvantage.? Thanks

Q: Not a question but an observation. Read article in WSJ yesterday that USA going to pass a bill banning Chinese rail and electric bus companies from operating/ manufacturing in the states. A Chinese owned electric bus company manufacturing plant in the “the rust belt” will close. ( Probably could be bought at good price).
Market for electric buses expected to grow from $745 million in 2018 to $1.95 billon in 2024.
Someone with patience will do well with NFI.

Q: Hi 5i, Could I please have your analysis of the bought deal and associated announcements from NWH.
Also, do you expect to see more selling from the primary shareholder over the next few years?
Thanks and Happy Holidays to all!

Q: As a dividend investor, I read with great interest the article by Peter and Moez in the November/December issue of Canadian Moneysaver, titled 'Does High Yield Really Mean Higher Risk? YES, YES, YES!'. Some compelling long-term return data showing returns of equities stratified by dividend yield were presented in the paper. Were the data based on all constituents of the TSX index? TSX 60? Something else? Would you be able to provide similar data for the S&P 500 and world indices as well (only return data would be great, I'm less interested in the other tables)? Thank you.
Q: Will have a bit of cash in my USD brokerage account. Need more industrial. Can you suggest a US ETF
Q: Hi,
I'd like to increase my industrials in both Canada and globally. Can you recommend 3 stocks and an etf in each?
Thanks.

Q: Hello 5I gang
what are your thoughts on wifi. Very very small, is there anyone else in this space you would look at? Love the technology as we have been hearing about this problem for years. Are they the real thing and should we step in for a long term hold.

Q: Hi, I have had fsz for approximately 3 years, b.e is 13.74 and have been thinking if it has dropped about $4 in this market , what will happen in a down market?
My other option was NA bank which has been a lost opportunity. Should i sell fsz (7%) and buy na, or sell half and buy half na. Or just stay the course?
I think fsz is ok, for dividend but getting a little worried with where it’s at after such a great market the last 3 years. I do like to keep a stock 3+ years to give it a chance to work. With a good market and good management I find it usually works out. In a poor or flat market of course all bets are off. also I do have TD in my financial sector which has done well.
Thanks

Q: Has announced a bought deal at $61.17 for sale by Beaudier Group and Bain Capital.
Last time they did this was in September 11, 2018 when the stock was $70 and ended
up at $35 a few months later. Is this the same type of deal the one in last September?
