Q: I am looking for quality canadian companies trading on the us stock exchange. I have some us cash which I would like to avoid the exchange fee. I like canadian companies for the dividend tax credit. Or companies not paying dividend but offering good growth prospects. I already hold csu and tucows under us listings. is Enbridge a good candidate at this time? any other suggestions.

Q: Good afternoon,
I need to sell some losers in a taxable account. I have had WCP for a long time and would like to sell to capture a loss. Could you comment on replacing it with RRX immediately to maintain exposure to energy, or would I just wait the 30 days and re-buy WCP.

Q: Please advise on methodology for new members entering into 5I research model portfolios. Do you ease in with multiple steps based on 5I recommendations of new positions or jump into the entire portfolio? Presently the TSX is in a downtrend and I would probably wait for 10 period exponential crossover of a 50 period simple moving average prior to entry.

Q: Trading in BEP.UN and BIP.UN Friday from 3:30 to 4:00 was frenzied with big price swings which I presume was connected to indexers acquiring BIP and dumping BEP, though I don't understand the thesis, any insight? Since we knew that BIP was going into the TSX 60 well in advance is there an opportunity that we could have taken advantage of, knowing that ETFs would have to be buying shares by a deadline? Q: I am holding Mosaic at a loss, and it represents well less than 1% of my portfolio. That being said, the business of agriculture is here to stay, and farmers need companies like Mosaic to provide them what they need to grow food. Is this company worth hanging on to, or is it time to move on? Should I sell, my first plan to reallocate this capital would be to increase my position in VLKAY: it is a small position that I would not mind increasing, as it would help my portfolio allocation. Q: I'm looking to add a healthcare stock. I sold CRH to lock in the loss and have watched it climb daily while I cannot buy it due to the 30 day CRA loss rule. I have have another 3 weeks before I could buy it. Should I look at other stocks in this sector that are better or wait and buy CRH? I have an 8% weighting in healthcare.

Q: Could AMZN prior to buying Whole Foods short stocks like Kroger, Costco, Target and Wal Mart and use the money made on the short to buy Whole Foods for the win?
Most companies use cash to buy equities. Or would this be totally offside?
