Q: Can you comment please on YGR regarding the debt load versus the leverage if the underlying energy prices move upward and the healthy insider buying. Am trying to weigh how the company fares under different scenarios.
Thanks

Q: Hi,
What are your thoughts on GMP capital? My average cost was $2.80 and the price has declined a fair bit. I was thinking there may be some tax loss selling right now, but was thinking of holding. Is this a bad plan or time to buy more?

Q: Hi,
Could you please share your opinion? It has been showing some upward momentum recently. I know this has been taken out of the balanced portfolio. Do you see any positive changes since then ? Thanks

Q: Hi, I have owned/followed this company for years but not sure how the stores ended up being Circle K instead of Mac's? See very few Mac's anymore?

Q: Season's Greetings to all ay 5i,
There seems to be negative news for WTE with Teck moving to contract CN into Neptune Terminals. I'm a little confused about this. There is only a finite amount of commodities than can go thru the inner harbour of Vancouver. CN/CP only have so much rail capacity as well and if CN will be moving 10M tonnes of coal into Neptune it will be at the expense of other commodities/products. There is also a New Grain Terminal coming on line soon that will demand 4-6M tonnes of product to be delivered (by CN) and shipped. The port has been congested for years and I know from my 40 years experience working in the port that further vessel traffic will be limited.
Grain, as you know is regulated, so that becomes an issue for CN in that they will face huge backlash from farmers if grain doesn't get moved. My question is;
Is this a play to get better pricing from WTE by Teck?
Do you think that investing in WTE at current levels is a solid long term play?
Thank you

Q: As Aurora owns approx 20% of Alcanna what effect, if any, will the failing business of Aurora have on the share price of Alcanna.
Q: For most of the year traditional bricks and mortar retailers have pretty much been left for dead .... other than the discount chains like TJ Maxx .... and the LULU's of this world.
Recently the XRT and stocks like M has been on a tear.
Two questions :
1. Could you justify buying M now based on consumer strength in the US, valuable real estate and apparently a "safe" dividend of about 9%.
2. What do you think of buying the XRT here.
All of this for a diversified portfolio looking for some G and good income.
Thanks

Q: A well-known talking head recently floated the idea of Shopify buying FedEx and becoming the 'Anti-Amazon'. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Q: A while back I asked about selling ENGH and replacing it with DSG, because I like to follow your lead in the portfolios. You recommended I keep ENG as they are similar, and I'm glad you made that recommendation because the company had a very good quarter/year. In another answer to a member you indicated that ENG may level off now because most of the share response was due to the low expectations by analysts and the surprise. Now I'm wondering if I should sell half of my ENG and buy DSG with the proceeds, giving me two reasonable positions. Diversification. I know this is somewhat like splitting hairs, but you must have a good sense of DSG future growth, or you would not have it in the portfolio. Again, thank you for recommending I not sell ENG last time, even though their good results could not have been predicted. And if you still recommend I keep the one position I'd be happy to do so. Thanks for all you do. And have a well earned holiday. Cheers
Q: I know you are hesitant to make a bullish call on oil stocks at this point,
But there does seem to be some upward momentum currently and I have heard that with oil in the 50-60$ range, that there are a number of companies that are so "lean" now after years of expense reductions that they are well positioned to generate significant earnings growth.
So .... could this be one of the those Warren Buffet moments when one buys when everyone "hates" it the most.?
Thanks again.
PS Saw your note re service changes over the Christmas / New Year's period .... thanks for the heads up .... great to see you and your awesome team adjust your pace .... enjoy the season and maybe take time to "smell the roses".
And hope everyone reads your note to minimize "crankiness" .

Q: Hello 5I; Microsoft has had a very successful run; it is hard to argue with success but some commentators on BNN have suggested it has now reached a bit of a top and will not continue to rise. Other BNN commentators have pointed to CVS as being good value and past their problems. I am thinking of a switch. Can you analyze the prospects for these two and provide your thoughts on this idea. Thanks for your excellent service.
Q: Can you provide an brief update about the stock, so you think it’s makes sense owning it ?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I have been purchasing these three oil Companies this month with a view Tax Loss Selling will end on Dec 27th, Oil Prices moving UP, world economies are improving, demand for Oil will increase, China USA Tariffs will come off, Trump will remain as President may even be reelected in 2020. I expect a good rebound in Oil shares in January, February. TMP is being built perhaps other pipelines as well. Both Liberals & Conservatives want TMP to be completed.
Am I on the Correct Course ? What Oil companies would you Buy if you agree with my Thesis ? What do you think of my selections ? Joseph Schacter likes them .RAK

Q: Hi gang
Do you still think HAIN could be bought for a "trade"? 6 to 12 months? Or even longer ? I like the organic space but can imagine it would suffer in times of a weaker economy.
Thank you and Merry Christmas
