Q: I would appreciate your comments on the succession plan for BRK. It adds clarity, the two are knowable experienced professionals, they fit the BRK culture, etc. My only downside risk is that they do not have experience within the other companies and capital allocation.

The market seems to approach of it.

Q: Further to the question on GXO: the expenses saved by the recent (Dec 18) dividend cut amount to roughly one-third of dividend costs; I would have thought that this would relieve investor anxiety around dividend sustainability. So I'm wondering if the problem is more likely elsewhere - for example, the WCS/WTI differential, whereby Alberta producers don't get the full benefit of the WTI price recovery. Put another way: are all Canadian pipeline-dependent producers cursed to continue to lose compettitive advantage over time? Such that, regardless of PP ratios or management quality or attractive well decline rates, they will go down while non-dependent producers (VET, PXT, others) go up?

I've owned 15% in CDN banks for the last couple years and they're dong well. Do you expect banks or lifeco's will do better in the next couple years?

Q: Hello Peter and Staff:
I am a retired investor with a 4 % position in Corus common shares.
With today's 2018 1st Quarter results and negative market reaction, I would like your comments and advice as to what to do with this stock.
The dividend has been maintained for the next 3 months and I like the income but am concerned about preserving my capital.

Q: I missed the recent run up in the stock, as did not buy when first recommended at 5iResearch, last year. However, reading through your comments, for past several months, I am getting interested in building a position, may be 2%, for all our family accounts. My present portfolio (and family) reflects more of 5i Balanced but also have some Growth companies , like SHOP, GIB.a, KXS, TOY, etc. each 3-4%. I am quite happy with the portfolio mix and its performance. Thanks to continued guidance and excellent picks by your team. Would you be comfortable to buy at today's levels or is it too late to the party. ? Thanks

Q: Happy New year 5i!!
I have the following US stocks in my TFSA:NVDA,SQ,AMZN,CGNX.
I'd like to add another from the following: Arista, Paypal, Micron or Flir.
I'm not concerned about sectors or size and have a fairly high risk tolerance. If you have a better choice than the ones I've mentioned I'm all ears!

Q: Hi 5i Team,
I have owned MedX for about a year now, watched it go up and down and have held since purchase and accumulated more on the down days. I noticed yesterday there was lots of volume and a 50% gain...but can't seem to determine why the sudden rise on volume and price increase. Robert McWhirter was on BNN on Fri and had some very positive things to say...but can't fathom this as the reason for the increase. I know they have been doing more deals in Europe. Any thoughts on the one day rise in volume and price? Any updates since your last comments on this company?
