Q: Hi Peter,
I meant to ask this a while ago but it slipped my mind. I saw a reference to an article that I believe you wrote a few weeks ago in either the G&M or Financial Post. I could not locate the article. It was called SOCKS, a Cdn equivalent to FAANG. Would you have a link to that article?
Thanks
dave

Q: I purchased Boyd a couple months ago at the top of the chart. It has been all weakness since and is down ~$10. Is there any reason to get out of it now based on the weakness? Did I just time it wrong? Or, alternatively, should I be adding more at these levels?
Thanks,

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan,
For a long-term hold, is today a good entry point for PBH and CCL.B? If so, would you purchase a full or 1/2 position? If only one was to be purchased which has the best value and upside? One last question, are they best held in a TFSA or RRSP?
Please take the appropriate credits for our inquiry.
Cheers,
Jerry and Debbie

Q: Hi Peter: I have a US equity trading acct. In the acct I hold 1/3 in ITOT, 1/3 in QQQ and 1/3 in SPYG. Over the past 3 yrs I have been satisfied with the returns. In your opinion should I just "stay the course" or would you suggest an alternative? I value your opinion. Thank you.

Q: SJ was up nicely this morning on a quarterly report that I thought looked good in terms of the forward view. Then at around 10:30, it just came off the rails. Did you listen to the conference call? Was there something there that set it off? Thanks
Q: Another disappointing quarter judging by the market but I can't help but think there is value in long term. Would appreciate any insights plus your opinion. Thanks
Q: Hi,
I'm looking at sectors, both Cdn and US as I have a lot of cash to redeploy as the market gets stronger, hopefully over the coming weeks or months. REITs are something I've been considering and I'm wondering about the effects of rising interest rates on them in general. Are REITs that are based on residential rentals better than REITs based on commercial properties? What about REITs for industrial properties vs commercial? Or would it be best to just steer clear of this sector until interest rates stop rising? I am retired and count on my investments to generate income, but am also lucky enough to be able to handle risk and I am very adamant about maintaining stops to protect capital and profits.
As always, your thoughts are most welcome!

Q: Good morning,
I have a question regarding tsgi. You guys have followed tsgi/amaya for quite some time with good success. Last quarter they guided lower and the market responded accordingly. Do you foresee them guiding lower again? Has there been any occurrences in their history where they guided lower but surprised to the upside? My gut tells me they were conservative in their last outlook. Comments? What is the street consensus?
Cheers

I don't have any banks in my portfolio. In current scenario is it better to go with single ETF or buy individual listed banks. Value your opinion.
Thanks

Q: As of today, what is your best guess or guesses for companies that pay at least 4% dividend, that will have a chance at more than average capitol appreciation going forward. In my income account, among others, I own CGX, GS, TCL.A and VET. Size, sector and risk are not factors, I dont rely on the income and sleep very well during high volatility.
