Q: XTRA This company seems to totally fly under the market’s radar. It develops and produces AI tech to provide physical security access at large venues and events. Financials are out soon and optimism is high. Recent multiple new contracts with major sports franchises, arenas and stadiums. Some major player customers (Tesla etc). The technology ought to be deployed at every school entrance across the US. Its major competitor is facing multiple lawsuits over its inferior product and is now embroiled in the New York Mayor/New York Subway contracts scandal. Seems to me the stock price should be on a steep upward projectile, yet it has remained stagnant for ages. What it is about Xtract that the marker doesn’t seem to like? Or is there something more nefarious at play to keep the stock price stifled? Thanks for all your advice and mentoring.

Q: Is there any other potential fines for TD like in Canada or Europe ? Do you think TD will do a financing to raise cash to pay for the fines in the US? Will Td's capital ratio still be in acceptable range after the fines are paid? Thanks
Q: In the coming years, GIC rates will likely return to their previous norms, making it rare to find a GIC offering 5% or higher. I am considering increasing my holdings of TD shares in my non registered income portfolio instead of keeping too much cash. My theory is that TD has always been, and continues to be, a reputable bank that generates good profits. I believe TD shares are currently at a relatively low point, and I am thinking of giving them a heavier weighting in my portfolio. Do you agree? Thanks for your insights.
Q: Hello 5i Team,
For the last few years I've tried to get a few family members interested in investing without luck. I think a ROBO Advisors might be the way to go; could you recommend 1 or 2 ROBO's they should look at?
Thank you
Brent

Q: How much impact do you expect the US asset cap to have on future growth of TD and as a result it's share price?
Do you have any confidence that the TD Board will make good decisions re management positions?

Q: Greetings 5i team,
I hold these seven companies in my TFSA in roughly equal amounts. I would like to add WELL to my TFSA. Would it be wise to shave a bit from all of the companies listed in order to do so?
Or, do you see a better solution to achieve this (ie. SELL one / two of the other positions in favour of WELL)?
Thank you as always.

Q: The general message from MSM and other commentators is the US economy is strong despite inflation, higher interest rates (which has started to decrease), higher cost of goods etc. A friend of mine is trying to convince me the economy is tittering and the stock market gains this year are not based on valuation but mostly speculation; that we're either in a recession or seeing stagnation. The Center for Microenomic Data from Q2 2024 showed household total debt continues to rise, unemployment is creeping up (which can lead to lowering of inflation but the price of goods are still high), even if unemployment is low, how many people have 2+ jobs? and gold has been really performing well which could indicate continued inflation and even stagnation. My question is are there behind-the-scenes indicators such as above that people don't usually talk about indicating the US economy is in rougher shape than what is being reported?
Thanks

Q: What is the main difference between investing in Index Funds vs ETF’s? I read about these U.S. bloggers who post about their increasing net worth by investing monthly in index funds, is that similar to investing in say WealthSimple in Canada?
Q: I have seen some commercials about buying fractional shares and am curious how it works from the brokerage's perspective. Can the brokerage simply buy the fractional share on the open market? If so, why don't all brokerages offer fractional share purchases to their clients. If the brokerage has to buy a full share, what does it do with the other part of the fractional share?.
Q: I was wondering what your thoughts were on investing in ETF’s like Wealthsimple vs Index Funds. What’s the main difference and does one have more upside?
Q: Re PRL earnings. Strange?
Yahoo lists 2023 earnings as $1.35
2024 Est. $2.19
2025 Est. $3.28

Q: Good evening 5i,
I have held ZLB for some time and while happy with the holding as part of my portfolio, I am considering a switch to HDIV. It would continue to be a long term hold.
Based on past perfromance, I don't see that the ZLB provides that much less volatility protection over HDIV to justify the higher fees and lower yield.
I would certainly appreicate your thoughts.
Thanks

Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you provide a summary of the fundamentals for IES Holdings including cash on hand, free cash flow and a measure of its profitability. Could you also provide its growth potential over the next 3 to 5 years and if possible indicate the ratio of organic growth to growth by acquisition. Also what are the insider holdings and has there been any significant buying or selling over the past few months. Is this a company that could benefit substantially from the dramatic increase of data centres needed for AI purposes.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Hi 5i,
