Q: Hello All. I'm 70 and a newby to the 5i service. My plan is to buy all 3 portfolios as I have a 300K in hand after the meltdown. How would you recommend going about this? Buy all at once? buy those most recently added? Buy on any dips? Buy those with positive momentum? Buy those taht haven't been doing so well?

Q: Could you suggest a diversified mini portfolio of Cdn stocks from your BE portfolio? The portfolio is too small to accommodate the full BE set of stocks. Thank you and happy new year.

Q: I’ve held PBH through thick and thin for over 5 years waiting for the “growth” to materialize and yet after this time I’m down nearly 20%. How long do you give a company to perform before moving on? Even if I was just breaking even I’d have some more patience with this but the opportunity cost of 5 lost years and a 20% loss is telling me it’s time to find something else. Your perspective would be appreciated. Thanks.

Currently hold AT, but beaten up pretty good. Would you recommend holding or selling or replacing it? Thanks,
Keith

Q: Hi , so at earnings release one year ago share price jumped 20 percent. Seems to be unusual in that the market wouldn’t anticipate this when there seems to be a lot of clarity in the company’s updates and outlook. Is the the current situation the same as last year and should we assume a similar outcome after earnings release on 11 Jan. Seems quite interesting as to how this will play out. Have a good un dudes.

Q: Happy 2023 after learning the hard way in 2022 that growth is not always the best rewarded investments. Anyway this shall pass too. My question is about the impact from the interest raise that may potentially slow down buying new cars. It seems to me that the car parts retailers such as Carparts.com that sells “aftermarket auto parts and accessories” may be a good bet for 2023.

Most people in the U.S. simply don’t have a reason to spend money on a new car during the current, uncertain macro environment. Consequently, they will repair their current vehicles if they have problems.

What do you think of my theory? Are there any public Canadian company doing the same as PRTS? Please be free to suggest any other way to play the theme and place your suggestions in your preferred order and your rational.

Thanks a Million$

Yves
