Q: Hello. Had an earlier question on gold bullion ETFs but think I may have timed out or something as didn't get a message saying you received it. So trying again.

Looking to buy some gold bullion ETF units as insurance for both my own portfolio and my wife's portfolio. Central Fund seems like the best bet for a Canadian ETF. Three questions:

1. Am considering splitting unit purchases between my RRSP and non-registered accounts. Any issues here?
2. Can you advise the Canadian tax treatment for capital gains in my taxable account?
3. Could you please help me understand the 'premium/discount to NAV'? Today it's -8.79% for CEF.A.

Q: As a follow up to my previous question on Harte Gold I am trying to put a value on the resource. They are already mining on a very small scale and have all the inputs in terms of grade and costs. They have a custom milling arrangement in place to expand the ore body. That said is there a calculation i.e. Net Present Value that can be done to arrive at a potential share value if they define 2 Million ozs, 2.5 Million ozs, 3 Million ozs and so on. Can this be done and if so what would be the formula. Thank You.

Q: A follow up on David's IVN question. I needed some funds, so sold this holding at 2.99 last week for a small gain, and then it really started to climb! I thought to get in on a dip, but there seems to be no sign of a dip. Is the value in today's stock price, and would it be okay to take a whole or half position to get back in? Or, is it indeed inflated.

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
As you can see MND just reported its Production and Sales Report for 4thQ. The stock fell today 2.2% while the whole sector had a very good day. Does this mean that there 4thQ financial report will probably not meet expectation? So the investors are disappointed and there may be a reasonable price dip? If so would that present a buying opportunity? Please give your current assessment of MND in light of this report.

Q: How is CEF.A valued? Is it just the number of ounces of metals times the current price of gold or silver to arrive at a NAV? Today CEF.A trades at 7.2% discount to NAV and I'm trying to determine if this is a good buy....or not. How can it pay a divvy, as tiny as it is? Any chance of your expert advice in blog form? The root of these questions is that I would like to hold some physical gold, this fund seems a easy way to do that but I do not understand the "under the hood" part. Their website is vague also. Q: Good Day Gentlemen. Several months ago I started accumulating shares of Harte Gold. I like the project since the President is Stephan Roman Jr. His father was instrumental in developing Elliot Lake and by all accounts was a legend in the business. As such and in step with family tradition, Stephen Jr. has been very prolific in the Canadian mining scene as well. He currently owns 38M shares of Harte and he is the guy running the show. Recently some major players i.e. JJ Capital and Appian Resources have bought substantial positions. I began acquiring the stock at .06 six months ago. The stock is now trading at the .30 range. I love the story and based on my calculations if they define 3M ozs it will move higher. I understand that Peter spent time at Sprott so he would have contacts in the industry that understand projects. Harte is now mining on a temporary license and has free cash flow. They have a deal with Barrick to process the ore in Hemlo. They are about to obtain a mining license etc. They are showing good results in terms of exploration notwithstanding they are cash flow positive on the ore body already defined and being mined. I am not in a hurry to get a response but would appreciate some thoughts on this. Thank you. I appreciate the service and thank you for your insight. Regards

Q: I've held shares of G in my RRSP portfolio for more than 10 years (paid $37) and am under water. I recently purchased more shares in my margin account and am doing ok with them. I see G is selling off assets recently and am wondering if this is a good move on the companies part or does it add more risk? Is there reasonable expectation that G will return to the +30$ range in the future$. Thanks.
