Q: I have an allocation of about $66k for non Canada/USA equity Etfs. For maximum diversification (by country) Should I be looking at a few different ETF's in different regions (BRIC/Asia/Japan/AU) - or should I be buying one or two World (ex USA/Canada) ETF's - If so what what are your top 2 or 3. - Also is there a very broad international bod ETF as well?

Q: I have the above investments in my TFSA, TOY and MX being new. This account has been flat all year, so I am trying to make some changes. FB and AQN the worst, so I am looking to exchange those.
Now, looking at FB it is a strong buy/ buy. Are you expecting any growth this year, or should I sell. I have been looking at something with high yield like STB and PWF. Are they safe enough. I am going to use some of this money in one year.
Thanks for your opinion

Q: Bad day on the market. Virtually every sector is down but one. Real estate. I'm baffled by this. Almost every single REIT is up today, and REITs are performing well in New York as well. All the 'pros' have been saying that this is exactly the wrong sector to be holding now, that REITs will suffer more than any other sector in a rising interest rate market. Yet on the last day of trading it seems like everyone is tossing tech and everything else overboard and gobbling up REITs. Does this say something about the market going forward in 2017, that perhaps people are hedging their bets a lot and don't believe the "Trump Rally" will lift all the cyclical stocks after all?
Q: What's going on with CXI this morning? Up 9% so far...

Q: My sister and I have joint power of attorney for my mother. My father passed away in 2015, leaving a sizeable estate that includes bamk accounts and investments at TD Bank. I am used to managing all my banking and investments electronically. My sister is so concerned about cyber security breaches that she does not want any of my parent's banking or investment transactions to be done electronically. I would appreciate your comments.
Q: Do you think this stock will benefit in the possibility of a rising interest rate environment I currently own a full position thanks
Q: Do you like Natural Gas over oil for next 12 months. Are tou, arx and bir large gas producers. Any others ? What are your picks ?
Q: I am going to be purchasing all stocks in the balanced equity portfolio in the next few days. Would you recommend equal weights to begin with or mirror the current weightings?
Are there any companies you would wait for a bit of a pullback before buying.
Do you still prefer WCP over RRX? I am guessing maybe for stability and dividend?
Are you planning on making changes to the portfolio anytime soon. Thanks very much.

Q: I have all 3 of these reits and have been happily taking the payouts with not much attention to the rise and fall of the unit price. I understand that I should be lightening up on reits - so I hear!- so if so which of these would you hold, both for payout stability and increase in unit prices. I become attatched to something paying me between 6 and 9%! The 3 of them together are only 6% of my portfolio which is mainly dividend paying stocks,a few growth stocks and the odd juicy one just for fun!

Q: Starting a TFSA and have narrowed down a larger list of 10-12 stocks to these four. Still doing research on each of these, but I was wondering if you thought this was a good mix for a TFSA, while adding different sectors as the years progress.
Thanks,
Jason

Q: I have no gold holdings now. What is the best way to start.
Q: PLI is up 8.5% today.i NOT AWARE OF ANY NEWS. So would you be a seller or would you hang on for more for more gains?
Q: Good afternoon everyone. For a beginning investor with limited capital I strongly recommend the Canadian Shareownwers Investments. To the best of my knowledge, they are the only brokers that enable you to purchase a fraction of a share. This is where I started. Well worth a look. Good luck, Nick.

Q: As an added comment on an earlier question on GUD, the increased Short position may be more a result of the financing. Traders may have short shares to hedge their position bought in the financing and lock in a gain. Not necessarily a reflection of the company, in this case.
Q: Seems like over the last 9 or so trading days PLI has found a bottom.
Any reason you see for the strong up move?
