Q: These receipts were issued at $31 and are now trading around $29, if the deal with WGL doesn't go close you get your $31 back. If it does close you get a share of ALA 1 for 1 for $31, in the meantime you get the same dividend as ALA which they just increased. What's the downside if any. The deal is supposed to close approx. in Q2 of 2018.
Q: I have heard a lot of buzz about Block Chain technology recently and while it is a speculative technology, it appears to be building traction for use in commercial markets (i.e. B2B and/or B2C usage). What are your thoughts on this (aside from being a high risk investment) and who are some leading companies in this space (either CDN or US) that are focused on developing Block Chain technology/platforms?
Q: Happy New Year 5iResearch Team,
I took a position on RIO in early August 2017 and currently up about 23%. Just wondering if can recommend an exit strategy on RIO.
Cheers,
Q: I have both the CDN and US version of this stock. Would it be a good time to get out as I am down over 50% or should I hang on for the promise that these stocks have?
Q: 5i special reports, is these reports about companies 5i follows and recommends?
As a member, would I use this report as potential stocks that meet investment criteria?
Recent new member here to 5i.
Q: I own the following shares and down 35%. What is the company outlook (they seem to have intercepted gold again recently and shares have been going up) and should I hang on to the shares or not in 2018 ?
Q: If we expect a trend towards more internet/online shopping (eg. Amazon), is there an investing opportunity in companies that provide packaging for this type of service? Personally, as I've used more online shopping, I've used Canada Post/UPS/FedEx significantly more, and I've been recycling a lot of cardboard boxes. Would CCL.B or WPK have any positive exposure to this type of trend? Any other companies that would?
Q: I am going over our investments and am looking to put in a bit more zip by rearranging a few holdings in a well balanced portfolio of only stocks. In our RIFF I am considering removing 3% AW.UN and replacing with HLF. The dividends are similar and short term it looks like HLF is attracting some buying after tax loss selling and longer term corporate policy shift to efficiencies and developing more healthy products suggests a bit more potential capital gain for HLF. Please Comment on longer term risk for this change.
Q: Thank you for your kind answer to my earlier question suggesting PTE,AVO and GSY.
Any sub 5 dollar stocks, other than ECN/GUD? I bought ECN, again reading your Q&A section! GUD is above 5 bucks but bought it anyway as it was your top tax loss selling candidate.
Thanks in advance.
