Q: Hi 5i
I am asking for advice on purchasing T-Bills from any of the big bank self-investing firms.
1) for a client with lots of investments with a bank, what kind of a spread can a retail investor expect to pay upfront on a 3 month, 6 month and 10 year US T-Bill?
2) how much will this spread change over time? Is there a market condition which advantages the retail investor?
3) is there one of the big banks that does a better job over the others in terms of managing the grey bond/t-bill market? i.e. offering clients a fair bond offering (both in terms of what is available and the percent the bank takes off the top)?
4) perhaps quest trade or interactive brokers show a better offering when it comes to fixed assets?
TIA

Q: Good evening,
Further to Terry's question regarding crystallizing capital gains, prior to June 24th. I am in a similar situation, with my elderly parent's affairs, both personal and corporate, that I handle for her. It was very generous of you offering what you are contemplating doing, and most certainly much appreciated.
A wonderful, thorough service, I've been a member since you started up.
Thank you as always...

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

I've been a long term holder of Boyd Group. Great recommendation by the 5i team!

Do you have any idea what went on at the end of 2023 that led to a number of Directors ceasing to be insiders to the company and their insider ownership subsequently being sold off or not visible on insider reports?

Next question: This seems like it should be a steady long term business with ability to grow and maintain strong earnings given the expensive and technologically advanced direction car manufactures are taking. Am I missing something in my outlook?

Q: VFV vs. VOO:
I understand VFV ETF contains VOO ETF, correct? What would you recommend, buy VFV in CDN $ account, or convert CDN$ cash in US$ cash using Norbit gambit and buy VOO in US account with US$? Any other recommendation for ETF to invest in US S&P500?

Q: Hi,
We have held a small position of PLTR since the IPO. Could you please comment on PLTR’s earnings? Street is obviously not happy. Thinking about switching to VRT. Which company do you think is better going forward PLTR or VRT? We already own NVDA, Google and Meta.
Thanks!
Kerri

Q: Hi, I would appreciate your current view and level of conviction on this company. Based on numerous comments, it's been a 5i favorite for quite some time, although, stock pulled back from its highs, during the month of April. Stock price seems to stabilize a bit for past week or so. Utilities ( Power producers, specifically) also seem to be slowing finding some favour, possibly due to expectation of incredibly large demand for electricity/power from Data centres, over next 10 years or longer.

Would you consider this co. to be a good fit to have an exposure to this area and if so, whether the recent concerns have been mitigated and what price levels would you suggest to start a position.

Thank You
