Q: Could you suggest for a RSP portfolio, starting from a cash balance of 150K, an array of 5 ETFs, covering Canadian and US/International sectors.
Would VGG selling in CAD qualify for the exemption of US taxes, or does it need to be a US traded ETF to qualify.
Take as many questions credit as needed.
Thank you.
Q: I am looking to add either AIQ or BOTZ to my portfolio for a long term hold. Both are ETF's. AIQ seems more focused on artificial intelligence while BOTZ is more focused on robotics. What would your preference be at this time?
Q: In less than a year, Waymo has increased its weekly ride volume from 10,000 in August 2023 to more than 250,000 today. According to California Public Utilities Commission filings, the company's momentum has accelerated sharply, with March 2025 alone showing a 27% jump in paid rides after months of slower growth. Do you think it could become a big part of Google in the coming years ? They seems to have the lead compare to the competitors like tesla, uber ...
Q: Hecla stock price has gone up 20% over the last few weeks. I cannot find any company news releases explaining this increase. Do you know why? Thanks
Q: This is in response to Dean's question about the tax treatment of Irish companies like MDT. I hold MDT in a non-registered account and the withholding taxes can be claimed back against my Canadian taxes. The MDT withholding taxes are reported on the T5 as foreign dividend income. In the past, I learned the hard way that taxes are deducted from dividends received from non-US foreign companies held inside an RRSP. I don’t have any knowledge of tax treaties, but that's my experience.
Q: How would you suggest a 76 year old who has been retired for 15 years invest $500K+ from selling his family home? Living expenses are paid for already.
Q: It was mentioned in the 31 March 2025 end quarterly report that the company is buying out some asset back from Endo for 100-mil plus inventory. Do you think that the asset which company purchased will do well as Endo acquired it and kept it. Now they are disposing it. Is company found them not valuable enough to generate good return? If that is the reason then why GUD bought it? Will GUD manage to generate good return out of it?
Thanks

Q: Thoughts on this stock and how it will open? Sounds like $31 is where they priced it which was above the expected range. Would you chase it at $33 or $34 or just buy COIN? Please explain.
Q: Are there any advantages to buying a physical gold bar at Costco vs holding in through an etf such as GLD?
Secondly, notwithstanding the incredible recent run up in the commodity and the miners, what is your outlook on gold for the next 5 to 10 years?
Lastly, if the sector is still appealing to you, would you buy the commodity etf, a seniors etf or a juniors etf?
Thank you and please deduct credits as you deem fit.
