Q: After using your portfolio analytics tool I have learned I should make the following adjustments. 1. I need to increase my international exposure. 2. I need to increase my exposure to health care, utilities and telecom. Any suggestions that might accomplish both at the same time? Or failing that, your best overall pick for each sector. I do own VOX which is currently a 1.5% weighting, GWR/Global Water Resources @ 2% and GUD/Knight @ 1%.

Q: I am looking for stable Industrial companies with good management, low debt, and are well positioned for a recession. I would also like a stable growing dividend, showing good faith for investors.
Would you please be able to suggest your top 4 or 5 companies in canada and top 4 or 5 in the US?
Thank you yet again,
Fed

Q: Hi 5i,
May I have your opinion on Waterloo Brewing? They are nearing the expansion project in Kitchener and thought about initiating a new position.

Q: I'm getting very tempted by forestry stocks. But have been for over a year! Continued patience or start to nibble? Favorites? ETF? Thanks

Q: Further to my prior question about allocating stocks to multiple sectors, how would you assign the following? I know this is 'not a science', but I think it will give me a better idea of my sector distribution.

MG Cons Disc:Industrial
LNR Cons Disc:Industrial
TFII Cons Disc:Industrial
EIF Industrial:Financial
AQN Utilities:Energy

If you think that other sectors should be included here, please add them.
Thanks again, and please deduct questions as you see fit.

Q: Can I get your advice on what to do with KNT. I bought in at just under $1 and have made a decent profit so far. I know you should let your winners run. I was wondering if you feel the current valuation is fair or has it over shot a little. I feel that the price of gold maybe responsible for some of the gains and KNT could drop quite a bit if gold reverses.
Q: Are you aware of a company in the US that is comparable to CSU in Canada, in terms of its outstanding management, strong long-term growth rate, high ROE and generally superb performance over many years? Any industry would be fine, not just tech.
Q: Gold has gone up a lot and July is gold seasonal strength, would you buy Abx at today's price? Do you think Abx has better value than small caps gold stock ( i own WDO). I know KL and Aem are your favourite gold stocks but they are quite expensive right now. Your thoughts please, thanks
Q: Keep in mind that I am now a retired (unabashed) income investor. My high risk growth days are past,(too much stress) Slow steady reliable 4% + div stocks ROCK MY WORLD NOW. So what is up (in your view) with the former Brookfield named (now Bridgemarg Real estate services)Is the recent poor performance a reflection of the name change and not having the star high profile parent name in it or a sagging sector. Is there something to fear about the div here. All my stocks average 3% holdings. Is this suitable or should I reduce? I have held it since 2012. Thanks for your time.

Q: I currently have $115 K saved in my children's RESP with the chikdren’s ages almost 14 (grade 9) and 12 (grade 7).
Currently I have $46,600 in 1-2 year GICs
$9K in Fortis
$25k in VDY
$35k in VFV
Considering cashing in Fortis or $10K of gains out of VFV for another GICs as I am concerned about markets and will need this money in the next 4-6 years for both children. Should I stay at 60/40 or reduce to 50/50 at this point?

Q: Burcon Nutrascience ----a mico cap is building a plant to process peas in Manitoba. Can you comment on Management and whether it is resonable value at the present price?
Q: Over the weekend I was reading about the potential for mean reversion producing a rebound in value stocks in the US. Do you think this makes sense overall, or is it just about as likely as any of the ten thousand other 'this is what is going to happen' stock market ideas? And, do you have any CAD US based ETFs that would fit this profile and that you would recommend? Thank-you, again.
Q: picCould you please put into context the recent earnings from PIC.A. The operating profit of 14.9M and the increase in net assets attributable to class A shareholders of 10.1M does not give me any feel for whether the company has done a good job over the past six months or not or whether that performance is consistent with or better or worse than previous periods in relation, perhaps, to their underlying investments. Thank you.

Q: Hello team,
I am looking to sell my CY shares and replace them with two of the above four stocks. Looking for growth and comfortable with risk, sector not a consideration.
Which two would you pick and why?
Deduct credits as required.

Q: Allo/Hello,
There is a cease trade order since May1st on WAYLAND Group (WAYL) because of late financial statements. Why is this canadian company stock allowed to be negociated on OTC in US$? (MRRCF). It happened to me in the past but my broker refused to trade in the US, even if some holders said on blogs that they were doing it. The $US stock is down more than 50% since May . Not fair, but may be legal ... Thanks.
