Q: Greetings 5i Team and HNY,
I see that DCBO is rated 'B' on the Gr Model Portfolio and that recent Q&A has it as a top pick. What would need to happen for the company to be upgraded to 'B+'?
Also, DSG is rated as 'A-' on the BE Model Portfolio; is it safe to assume that you prefer DSG over DCBO or would this be conditions based?
Thank you very much.
Steve

Q: Do you have any thoughts on this company or its prospects? Seems very early stage but in a promising area (green H2) but w/ no analyst coverage and pre-revenue it seems very early stage.
If no info available, no worries.

My financial position is 30% of my portfolio and include V (6%). Where would you classify V? financial or consumer?

Q: I was thinking of adding my recent TFSA contribution to EQB however then started wondering if some of the growth oriented US$ holdings in the account would be a better option. 5I has been positive about EQB but I wonder if it will have a lack lustre performance due to it being in the weak Cdn economy….that is, it may be a good company but limited to how well it can do. Your thoughts about all this, please. Thank you for your excellent service.
Q: Happy New Year 5i!
Very long term owner of ENB $62.50). With the stock finally back over $60, is there a price where you would trim or exit? I think it is getting to the point where the upside potential is lower than the downside risk
Thanks, Greg

Q: I do not know if it me doing it wrong, when checking the chart for ERE.un on Itrade from Scotia bank, I found a really weird chart , on 10 years it shows the price was never much over 2.50 cad, when chequing other sources ERE was above 4 cad in 2022, is anybody experiencing these strange problems with Itrade ?
Q: Well has been recommended by your Specialist and recently moved up. Wondering if you would recommend holding for long term.
Q: FINN is an actively managed etf from Fidelity Global. It has a high MER but its returns so far in its short life have been impressive. What do you think of this ETF? What risk level would you place on it?
Q: Hello
I would like your opinion on managed bond ETF's vs passive bond ETF's? Are they worth the extra fees in your opinion?
Also I have some short duration bond ETF's and 5 year ladder ETF's in my portfolio, should I just sell these and replace them with longer duration bond ETF's?
Thank you

Q: TransMedics has had a good few days, up 15% in one week. Is this a confirmation of momentum coming back to this company? I have been watching this, waiting to take a position. What else would you need or like to see from TMDX to green light a purchase here?
Q: I have a question regarding bought deals.....is it wrong to think of them as setting a 'floor' on stock prices in the short term with the reason being that if some organisation bought a large multi-million position in the company at a discounted price (usually vs the current market price) that it would mean that they value the company at least the purchase price of the stock but would most likely believe it has room to grow.
Therefore, you could see this is a potential short-term ceiling on the price of the shares and that 'value' is seen by others at this price? I also realise it may take away some of the demand for the stock as the 'news' settles but I'm curious what I can learn from reading the 'bought deal' news announcements.
Am I missing anything and what 'insight' can you read into a bought deal?
Happy new year and thanks for your help as always!

Q: Could you provide some information on QTUM - Defiance Quantum ETF, trading on the Nasdaq, in particular, its assets and fundamentals. Is this a good ETF to hold as the development of quantum computing progresses. In general could you comment on the idea of investing in quantum computing and are there any individual companies that may have potential going forward. Canadian and U.S. Thanks.
Q: Hi,
Do you see a pathway for SMCI to be re-listed again in NASDAQ? What are the impediments/enhancers for it to achieve this goal? What do you think is the probability of it suceeding? (In terms of percentage) And if they do succeed, when do you think it will happen? 2025? or 2026? To my untarined and non-professional eyes, SMCI mgmt seem to be doing the right things. But then that's what I thought before it tanked :)
How many Billions they have to pay to settle the law suits or make them go away? If they decide to issue more shares to deal with all these issues, the stock may go down further, no?

Q: What is your opinion of this company? Relationship with Doordash and Fiserv, and do they compete with Payfare. Please note this company also had an abrupt stock value loss in the fall of 2024.
