Q: If the strategy to be pursued is to invest Canadian cash for 3 years believing in a stronger Cdn dollar against the US dollar and that let's say Cdn equities and US equities will strengthen equally, is it better to buy a Cdn dollar ETF that holds US equities or one that holds Canadian equities?

Q: Hi

Is my thinking correct?

Based on the above, next year the Government will be being paying more in OAS and in some cases GIS (the Old Age Pension supplement for low income seniors).

In fact some people who are having their OAS clawed back as of July 2022 based on their 2021 income, can apply to have there OAS recalculated for the period July 2022 to June 2023 should they expect lower income in 2022.

Q: Hi, Could you please confirm the Ex-Dividend Dates for these two companies. The company investor relations website says Ex-Dividend Date - Sep 29, 2022 and Record Date - Sep 30, 2022. But the TMX as well as our CIBC Brokerage shows Ex-Dividend Date as Sep 28, 2022. Could you please confirm. Thank You

Q: In your experience, do Canadian bank-owned online brokers such as RBC-DI or iTRADE allow individual investors to buy US T-Bills for registered OR non-registered investments accounts. If yes, how does one find the symbols for 3 month, and 2 years T-bills? If you have the symbols, please tell us, as brokers seem reluctant to.

Q: Hello Team ..I have US and CA$ in my income oriented RIF. I would like to buy either PID:CA ( using CA$) or VYMI ..given their depreciated value (and high US$ ).Both have great dividends but the macro is awful and holding me back which makes me think it is exactly the right time to start easing in. I have owned APP's for 1.5 years and am down significantly (70%). I know you have been generally optimistic about its fundamentals but I guess I need some reassurance in these turbulent times.

Do you still find their fundamentals and growth prospects compelling? And if you so could you explain what makes it an attractive HOLD or BUY. Respecting there is no crystal ball do you feel that in 12 months things will look rosier for the stock?

Q: Hello 5i,
Even with the great financial position it is in with almost 4 billion and little debt, is it time to let ZIM go or hang in for the long haul? All the signs that scream "SELL: are not there, no change in direction, no change in administration, no cut in dividend, in fact even a share buyback scheme is in place. So is it a keeper and just hang in or get out and absorb the losses?
