Q: LSPD's business is focussed on small-medium sized retailers, restaurants and the hospitality industry. These are amongst the worst sectors in the economy and may be permanently impaired. Does this not change the investing thesis for LSPD? Is this not a case of sell now and consider buying at a potentially higher price down the road if they can confirm that growth has returned or at least stabilized?

Q: Shandong Gold, a Chinese Gold company, recently bought TMAC Resources which has an interest in Hope Bay project. This may be a small deal but does the 5I Team know if the Canadian Government has any measures currently in place to protect our vulnerable Canadian corporations in weak sectors like energy from foreign predators.

Q: Hello Peter and Team,
I currently have 50K ready to be invested in the market. I am looking for capital gain in the next 24 months. Above stocks have been hammered and did not fully recover yet. Agree that they are in different sectors, my portfolio is otherwise diversified.
Could you give me your expert opinion and prioritize your choices if any from the above.
I always value your opinion

Q: Hello and thank you for the great recommendations. I just wanted your opinion and analysis on Superior Plus Corp. The dividend is high and seems safe. They seem to also have some kind of a monopoly in the space and I’m interested in the upside potential. I am interested in getting in at the 9$ level and average down if possible. Thank you!
Q: Hello Peter and team,
What is your opinion at current levels for near to mid term? There was a significant price movement today and is it correct to attribute to the price movement in copper alone?

Q: Thoughts on the CSU announcement?
Q: My portfolio is (happily and puposefully) tech skewed. As NVDA is more volatile than most tech stocks, at what percentage would you suggest keeping it below in light of its recent run.
Thanks for all your insight.

TC Energy Corporation (TRP $70.83)
-
Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN $8.06)
Q: I hold full positions in ENB and TRP, which I deem as utilities based on their function as transportation of energy products rather than exploration/development. I have been looking at AQN for a while now, and I am debating on selling one of ENB or TRP to start a position. ENB has taken a fair hit in the last couple of months, but it pays a strong dividend, and as far as I am aware, is still committed to increasing its dividend over the next couple of years. TRP is a solid company and steady performer, which is why I am somewhat reticent to make a switch. AQN could potentially offer more growth, but ENB and TRP are known commodities. The dividend yields between AQN and TRP are quite similar, with the yield of ENB being much higher, but if AQN is poised for greater growth, which, of course, is a big "if", I would be willing to forego a higher yield for greater growth. Would AQN act as a better holding than either ENB or TRP?
Q: Seems that real is making a big run here. If you had to purchase 1 of these companies for growth moving foward which one would you recommend at this time. Thank you

Q: Hello 5i Team,
Excerpt from MarketWatch : "the Senate looks set to consider sweeping new legislation that could ultimately bar many Chinese companies from listing shares on U.S. exchanges, or otherwise raising money from American investors." I own ADRs in JD.com and I'm starting to wonder what would happen if they were delisted from the NASDAQ as a result of the above. I fear being stuck with my shares in the company and not be able to sell them at some point in the future. Should I sell them now as a precaution?

Q: As a retiree with a balanced portfolio, I hold SIS and wonder if there are better longer term opportunities in this market. I like SIS's demographic market position and strong balance sheet. Covid-19 may entice more seniors to stay at home longer, which could help SIS. But I have concerns. The firm's international growth will challenge their Board and management to deal with greater complexity. They have a new CFO and SIS did not have much to say about the person in their announcement. The CEO owns a large share position, and the company's payout ratio seems high. All in all, I'm wondering if I should move on and sell. What do you think of my assessment? Anything else I should be considering? Thank you.
