Q: With such overwhelmingly negative sentiment driving the stock price down to a multiyear low and a yield that is now over 6%, does it make sense to step in here or this a company to stay away from if you don't own it or sell if you do own it?

Q: Hello 5i.
After the huge drop in LB this year do you think the risk reward is worthwhile yet? That said is it bound to be a tax loss selling candidate or do you think it will already have washed all the sellers out before then?
Thanks TM

Q: WHY DOESN`T SOMEBODY COME IN AND BUY THIS COMPANY? THE SHARES HAVE TUMBLED ABOUT 75 PERCENT AND IF THE LIBRARY HAS VALUE IN THEIR CONTENT THE COST TO ACQUIRE WOULD BE ALMOST IMMATERIAL FOR DISNEY OR NETFLIX. YOUR THOUGHTS AND THANK YOU
Q: Hello, I have received from my online broker the Thomson Reuters' documents to tender my TRI shares. I have hold these shares for many years and I have always been happy with the company's yield and growth . What will happen if I do nothing (do not tender my shares)? Can Thompson Reuters force an investor to sell his shares? Thanks, Gervais
Q: VMD has been very strong after its latest earnings report. You often caution about selling your winners or selling into momentum but I am wondering if, given the history of its predecessor (PHM) and its relatively small size, if its time to sell 1/2 and take some profits. I find buying easy, its knowing when to sell that always messes me up! Help.
Thanks

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, what would be your top picks of ETF's (tax efficient ) for non-registered account assuming one falls in higher tax bracket?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: For someone who doesn’t need either income or growth, but would choose income first, what would be the best option between SPB and ALA? Or would a mixture of both be ideal?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: I'm considering buying an out of the money call on AEM expiring next Jan. or Feb . As you're aware the stock and call prices are very depressed at this time. If gold prices take of at some point, the calls should do quite well. I now own a small position in GDX at a sizeable loss (20%)

Q: Can you compare EIF vs SPB for a dividend growth investor. They
are similar in some ways but SPB appears to be less volatile and the
better performer recently. Which would you give the nod today?

Q: What would be your suggestion for a 5 yr hold split between the growth/ balanced portfolios with a modest amount of $50,000 . I realized that it is small amount for proper diversification and how many names would be adequate . Thank you !

iShares NASDAQ 100 Index ETF (CAD-Hedged) (XQQ $58.50)
-
Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK $265.08)
-
First Trust Dow Jones Internet Index Fund (FDN $270.49)
Q: For the technology portion of one of my portfolios I've held 75% XLK and 25% FDN. Since XLK will be reconfigured this month, what ETFs do you think would best represent the technology sector moving forward? Also what about timing with the changes being made to XLK?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: Hi team
I have some extra cash to be deployed
this stock has been on a downward spiral
I have half position in PBH already also in decline, consumer staples should do well
in the summer months, but)
wonder if I could increase my position in PBH or start a 1/3 or half position in QSR
which one would you prefer for a 3 years plus hold with some consideration for a small
dividend income as well, thanks
Michael

Q: I feel the pot stocks have entered a bubble not unlike the tech bubble in 2000.
I think there could be a lot of money made on the short side here. Can you please suggest 2 or 3 stocks
In this area that you think have the highest chance of going to or near zero one this bubble bursts. Both US and Canadian equities.
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: Can I please get your opinion on CWB after their lest quarterly numbers.
Q: I own a significant number of shares weighted against my overall portfolio in GWO through an employer savings program and am perplexed as to why the stock never seems to gain any traction. With higher rates and an improving profit picture for the company I thought the shares would begin to move over the last year but the opposite has happened. What are the prospects for this stock in the next 3-5 years? Should I replace some of the shares with shares of another company or a few others? Thank you, Ian
Q: Can you please explain how you value this company in terms of ratios and financial metrics ?
