Q: Hi group - BNS taking a hit due to lass than stellar results (compared to other Cad banks) in the 2 nd quarter. I also own TD (trading near its high) my question is should I cash in 1/2 (500 shares) of TD and purchase more BNS to try and take advantage of the lower stock price (I am thinking that BNS has a lot more upside potential in the coming mths and years. Also I own the US banks and am becoming frustrated with their performance - what going on? they should be trading higher due to the strong economy?...Thanks for your guidance on this

Q: I am curious about your views on Melior Resources. This company is largely owned by a Russian individual who owns Pala Resources and and also by Takota asset management and one other investment firm. Collectively they own about theree quarters of the shares. MLR has a mine about to be reopened in Australia and they have sales agreements in place for the products. Any thoughts on owning a part of company largely owned by others, that has no following in the business press? Any thoughts about the MLR outlook overall?

Q: Hi Team,
I heard about TD INVESTMENT SAVINGS ACCOUNT TDB8150 from a friend. TD Direct Investing says it is a no-load mutual fund, $10 per unit, currently paying 1.35%, and is RRSP eligible. (CIBC Investors Edge calls it a front load fund.) At TD it appears you can buy and sell at will with no commissions. Does this look like a reasonable place to park short-term cash in an investment account without risk of loss in principle?

Q: Short Attacks. What purpose do they have ? Should Short Selling be abolished ? Look what Musk tried to do to Shorts on his going private announcement for Tesla. Short Attacks cause massive selling in good quality Companies for no reason. What is your opinion ? RAK
