Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,
Across all accounts, our Industrial holdings consist of BAD, ECI, NFI, SIS, and STN,
If I sell my Enercare shares held in my TFSA, would TFII be a suitable complementary industrial stock, or do you think that any of the above industrials should be let go or added to? All are up (especially ECI for which I thank you immensely) except for NFI in my wife's TFSA, although we have two other accounts that hold NFI which are up.
As always, thanks for your insight.

Q: I have noticed that Fortis is not included in any of your portfolios. Would you have any suggestions for an alternative that pays a decent dividend but has some growth prospects, utility or not.
Thanks: Jerry

Q: I'm new to the service and am interested in (mostly) following the balanced equity portfolio. I'm not interested in investing in oil stocks and am wondering what would be a good way to invest that portion of the portfolio outside of the energy sector. I'm not sure if i should just spread it out evenly between the sectors or if there are other companies or an etf that you would recommend to replace the 3 energy stocks. My time horizon is 25 years and I'm fine with some volatility.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: Hello,
EBM stock price has run up to $5 from 7 cents this year. Could you please comments on their products and management team. Is it buyable at this level?

Q: Is now a good time to sell the stock?
Q: I understand that OSB would drop by $4.50 when it paid out the special dividend but do not understand why it has continued to fall in share price. Do you have some knowledge of what is happening? Also, if there is no good reason, would it be a good time to add some to my portfolio?
Q: Hi 5i Team:
I have a substantial gain in WSP thanks to your advice. Would you swap it for BIP.UN? WSP currently represents about 2.5% of my portfolio. Is having both a better move and bring my infrastructure holdings up to 5%?
I am a conservative and retired investor. Dividends are good!
Thank you as always,
Dr. T

Q: Visa took a big drop today but I cannot see any news that would have triggered this. Any thoughts on whether this is a temporary blip or if there is company news that would cause the stock to go down?
thanks for your insight

Q: The stock price falls on a daily basis. My understanding is that business is very good. What triggered the drop was news that in the state of Colorado, where QST does most of it's business, there will be on the November ballot an initiative asking people if drilling in Colorado should be restricted to at least 2500 feet away from homes, schools etc. Companies that do most of their gas business in Colorado ( like Extraction Energy) have taken a bit of a hit but nothing like Questor. If you could give any advise to Questor management on how to deal with the share price slide, what would it be?

Q: Hi,
Would you please comment on the impact of the news that Loblaw will spin out its interest in Choice Properties REIT? It sounds like Loblaw Minority Shareholders will receive 0.135 common shares of George Westin Limited for each common share of Loblaw held. Does that mean after the deal closes these shares will be added to a brokerage account? If so, and if those Westin shares are sold, is this a tax-free transaction?
Thank you. Michael

Q: Hi, I have 10% of my portfolio in USD in a non registered margin account. What would be a good strategy to invest this money? The other 90% of my port is in CAD dollars spread between rrsp(balanced), tfsa(growth) and non registered(dividend).

Q: Hello Peter / Ryan
Generally speaking, is there anything out there that really worries you about the way the economy is currently or where it is headed ? On the whole, you seem optimistic / upbeat and I'm wondering what it takes to shake you up and make you nervous. Just curious.
Thanks

Q: Hi 5i,
I am interested in purchasing the Vanguard Global Active ETF's, VLQ, VMO, VVO and VVL but, I am concerned with the low average trading volumes. I calculated the average daily trading volumes to range between approx. 500 [VLQ] to 5,000 shares[VVL]. I would like to purchase/sell at least 100 shares at a time to justify the 9.95 commission. Will I likely be influencing the stock price because of the low volumes? Is the Vanguard Canada published Premium/Discount data for these ETF's in line with most commonly traded ETF's?
Thanks
