Q: If you have to create new balance portfolio that includes CDR and CDN stocks.. Which 20 to 25 stocks portfolio would you recommend that includes both.
Q: There is an ETF, that invest in the canadian market, which does not pay out any dividend to investors, instead it is capitalized onto the NAV. I think it was a Harvest ETF. They used derivatives instead of holding the shares. The problem is I cannot find it now. Do you have any suggestions.
Tank you and merry Christmas.

Q: A comment, not a question. A RIF withdrawal can be in cash or in kind, so rather than selling a stock to make a cash withdrawal, you can do a withdrawal in kind to your non registered investment account.
Q: Hi 5i,
I have to sell something in my RRIF to raise cash for my annual payment out, and can't decide between selling a portion of GSY or a portion of PRL or a combination of the two.
They're currently of roughly equal value in my RRIF, but only because PRL has gained far more than GSY since each was bought (PRL- 125% to GSY - 24%).
I'm not too concerned about losing the dividends either of them pay, and want to keep the one most likely to produce the most capital appreciation over the next year or two. And I'm not adverse to selling some of each to raise the required cash if that 'diversification' seems wise in the circumstances.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Peter
I hold BN in my non-registered account for my canadian side of my portfolio.
I've been looking to add to my TFSA on the US side in the same sector.
I see some of the notable ones are pulling back a hair.
From APO, BX, KKR could you please give me your pick. And if it's different than those proposed please put it forward as well.
Along with a value range to add. This will be longterm full position.
Q: Private Equity seems to be taking off and I want to protect my Tech gains. I still hold the Mag 7 but getting rid of others. Do you agree with this strategy, and can you recommend others? Thanks!
