Q: Hi Team,
RECP is down almost 30% in the last 2 months most probably due to big stockholders sales at the end of September.
... Price momentum is very ugly at the moment.
When would you consider the name a buying opportunity.
Thx

Q: Adding to a TSX comp index fund I tried to pick stocks from the balanced portfolio and others you have reports on. I'm struggling to put in the time I think required to manage 20 Canadian stocks. I'm considering buying WXM and reducing down to about 10 stocks. Anything faulty in this plan? Do you like WXM and are there other similar ETFs you can recommend i should consider?

Q: Siyata (SIM) has been getting some good purchase orders and the shares were finally coming off a low base. Then they announced a $10 million convertible debenture with the convert price at 45 cents for the next two years. I thought with some solid PO's that they could get some bank financing or even facture financing. Instead they did a convertible debenture. What do you think of this move? If the convertible debenture is a good deal for the ones investing who can a small retail guy participate. Do you have to call the finance company that is doing the issue (PI financial, cannacord) and see ask to buy some? If so, do you have to be a client of those firms? I have kept up to date on this company and I like their future but I have to admit that I am disappointed that the stock price got slammed down again.
Q: A trading education question - today (Dec.5) WCP opened at $4.25, high of day was $4.36 and at 4pm closed at $4.29. Volume weighted average trade price for the day was $4.2918
On the TMX site more trades were listed at 4:10pm. Six trades printed, all done at $4.68
Selling brokers included brokerges with numbers 85,62,25,68 & 80. The TMX Member Firm Directory details those brokerages.
https://www.tsx.com/trading/accessing-our-markets/member-firm-directory
Question relates to the buying broker for all 6 of the 4:10pm EST trade prints - brokerage #100. Total volume printed for the 6 trades was 407,000 shares. Not mom or pop trading in their pajamas.
Who is brokerage #100 & what would be the probable reason for why the 6 shown trades were done at over a 9% premium to the day's volume weighted average trade price (ie. $4.68 vs $4.29)?
I'm assuming it's somehow related to institutional trading given individual trade volume sizes (250,000 on one print) but I would be interested to know a better answer. Ideas?
Thanks for insights and opinions.

Q: Please comment on the latest earnings release and quarterly update. Recovery now in progress and on track?
Q: In the company data for PKI the earnings estimate is $1.52 which is a negative 22% growth over 2019, is this correct?
For FSV the estimate is $2.38 which is negative 3.6% over the previous year?
And for ATD.B there are no estimates, do have any estimates for next year?
Your assistance as always is greatly appreciated.
Mike

Q: When reporting capital gains/losses on schedule 3 of the income tax return, would you know whether one must report DLR/DLR.U transactions? There would be no gains or losses, after all, when the two are carried out together.
Q: Hi Team,
What do you think of the research report published this morning by Spruce Point Capital on CTC.A. Anything relevant or just another short attacking a Canadian company. Thanks!

Q: Hello team,
Do you see today as a good buying opp for LSPD? Does a takeover rumor of SHOP really justify a drop in LSPD? To me, it doesn't seem like it, and the notion that it would , would be based on a lot of presumptions that the sale of SHOP would hurt Lightspeed in any meaningful way. I have seen days like this before and more often than not prove to be good buying opportunities in a short period of time. Your thoughts please, thanks.

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan and team,
What is your opinion on LIF at the current price for income and some growth? Would the share price go down significantly if there is a global economic slowdown?
Thanks for your insight.

Q: Would you recommend any "need to own" (or close to it) precious metals companies at this time? Looking primarily for long term capital gain and leaning toward a junior with a nice outlook. Not worried about risk on this one.
Thanks,
Dustin
Thanks,

Q: Quarterhill has decided to discontinue their listing on the Nasdaq... they have indicated that this will save them about $1,000,000. annually.
Was the U.S. listing that beneficial to them and do you believe that this will affect their long term growth opportunities? Also, have you heard of any rumbling in the market place regarding their lawsuit with Apple?

Q: I split a full position between these 2 recently. I was wondering if you preferred one to the other and if so, for what reasons?
Q: According to the efficient markets theory, a stock should reflect all publicly known information about a company. Given the advances in AI, technical analysis, computerized trading, etc., under what circumstances do you see individual investors being able to beat the markets, or more specifically, being able to beat the computers?
Are there specific types of stocks, or specific market conditions or circumstances, where individual investors have an advantage over computers? Under what circumstances is it better for an individual to hold a diversified basket of ETFs as opposed to individual stocks?
Are you aware of any research in this regard?
Many thanks for your excellent advice, and for this wonderful service!
