Q: I would appreciate your comments about the oft used term “momentum”. Once the markets do bottom, all of us, like it or not, will or should be momentum traders.

Q: What are your 3 "table pounding" buys (3 US & 3 CDN) across any sector that you would be adding to your hypothetical portfolio today in this much lower market? I understand the markets could fall much more but if you were deploying today what your top picks be? Thx
Q: I have held TVE since about the beginning of the year, and its perfomance over that time has lagged many other competitors in its space. TVE is about a 2% position, and my total energy exposure is somewhere around 12% at this point. I read an earlier comment on this forum that TVE is slated to double its revenues in the upcoming year, which would make a strong case for hanging onto shares of this company.
Do you feel that remaining patient with TVE is the prudent measure, or is there another name with analogous characteristics within the energy producer space which would potentially be a more suitable vehicle in which to invest?

Q: I know you rate this stock as an A and according to your report, think quite highly of it.
Well I've held this stock for 4 years and it is at the same level today as it was Jan 2019. It's down approx 40% since Jan 22.
Basically dead money. Other than the 2% dividend, I could have done as well in a 5 year GIC.
Is it time to throw in the towel. I believe I am a patient investor, but like you patience does run out.
If your answer is yes what is your top TSX listed NON TECH suggestion to replace it.
If your answer is no, why?
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: What are your thought on the HCAL Etf?Do you like it or would you prefer EEB or RBNK? Any comments would be appreciated. Thank You.
Q: These companies all seem to be at a premium to P/B ratios and have similar dividend yields and WSP is likely the company that is not a direct comparison within the group but all would be industrial based in my mind. Would you please rank your order of preference of the three for a three to five year timeframe. Thank you!

Q: My sister has an RDSP with BMO. She has 75,000.00 in each the above funds. The lifestage money will mature in June and automatically go into a money market fund. The money will not be needed for years. She also has a trust fund. Do you have any suggestions for the 75k? Also, I believe the Cad and Usd equity funds are mutual funds. Should I move them to a lower cost ETF?
Q: Do you pay attention to all negative headline fueled by wallstreet strategists who seems to become negative after such a bad start. In december, almost all of them were somewhat positive albout the prospect of 2022.
Q: Hi Team
I started a position in this ETF today. What do you think for a long term hold. Obviously the Sector will be huge in the future,
Thanks Gord

Q: I have a bit of cash to invest in my RRSP which (of course) has taken a beating but I am not losing sleep. I was going to add to BAM.A but then see that I am down 70% on SHOP. In my view SHOP has more upside but is there anything smelly there? If not should there be some insider buying at SHOP? Is there? What would you do?

Q: My son has uninvested $ in his RRSP, and no other investments at all. Can you suggest 3-4 positions to get him started? He'd like something that he doesn't have to pay too much attention to. Thanks.
Q: Is there an analyst that you like. They seem useless as far as price targets go.
Q: hello 5i:
We are interested in a smaller investment in convertible bonds, but don't wish to pursue the ETF route; rather, we'd like to choose the higher grade company DBs. With yield being as important as safety, could you give us your top 3 or 4 company debentures at the moment? What is liquidity like with individual debentures?
thanks
Paul L

Q: Peter and Co., I keep reading about the possibility of great lithium content in California's Salton Sea. Are there any companies that have an interest in exploring/developing this potential source of lithium?

Q: Hi,
You may have this question already, but if not - what's your assessment of NVDA's earnings report? I know they beat top and bottom, but how hard the management's comments will affect the price longer term I am not sure. I was also unaware of the sec settlement, so if you've anything to add as a comment to that, I would appreciate it!
Thanks for always helping to explain these things - it is very helpful!

Q: which do you think has a better upside and why?
Q: Hi there, have a fairly large position in Txf and am down on the etf. I am thinking of adding more and would appreciate your judgment on the sustainability of dividend and prospect for future growth. One year hold Thanks, James
