Q: Just your thoughts on DVN (US)
Q: Is this still a buy? please coment on debt, roe, p/e, any headwinds
Q: Do you know what is up with Align today, the stock is down over 9%? Is it time to sell?
Q: Instead of Globe Investor watchlists, that have lost much of their utility, I now use the barchart.com watchlists, free for up to 20 watchlists. Plenty of useful features, mainly technical ones. If you call up a ticker on your watchlist the chart allows you to access a comparison chart with up to three other tickers (a feature that disappeared with the revamped Google Finance). The bottom of the main page lists recent news items. (I recommended Barchart to Globe Investor, and now the Globe's watchlists are based on barchart data...)

Q: I have some USD cash in my USD RRSP account. I do not wish to convert the funds back to CAD. I am looking for some US listed but NOT US domiciled stocks to buy. I am also OK with Canadian companies. I can tolerate a lot of risk. Some suggestions will be appreciated?

Q: I am looking at picking up RBC's Quant US Div Leader and they have 2 versions Hedged and Unhedged. With the CDN dollar at close to 80 cents which one would you recommend to purchase for the next year. Some advisors are saying the CDN dollar will be weaker in a year from now. Should you have a balance of Hedged and Unhedged of the same fund?
Q: (I have a question about 328 )
Good Morning
I don't have any idea what the above wording is all about, however it appears whenever I decide to ask a question??! I usually just delete it. Whatever!
My short question is the current expected quarterly Statement date for PHO. Thank you.

Q: I currently have a weighting of 8 % Canadian tech companies. For diversification I hold CSU, OTEX, SYZ, ENGH and KXS. My largest holdings are in the larger companies, specifically CSU at 5% and OTEX at 3%. I would like to diversify my portfolio into international stocks. To this end, in the high tech sphere I have started to buy XQQ. Since XQQ is an ETF, and so is diversified, I plan to bring XQQ up to 10%. Note that I currently have 20% in VFV. So my US exposure would be 20% VFV and 10% XQQ. Do you see any downside to this plan? Note that XQQ is hedged, are you aware of a US tech ETF that is not hedged?
Q: Hello,
Why would LIF announce a shareholders rights plan just after their tentative agreement was rejected by union members? Doesn't the timing of this seem unusual? Should we read anything into this or something that was likely in the works for a long time?
Regards,
Robert

Boralex Inc. Class A Shares (BLX)
Q: Hello 5i,
I have a question which I don't know if it falls in your domain. But, i will try it. I have been thinking about gradually switching my utilities sector towards renewable energy. Currently I hold Algonquin and Emera which I will want to keep. { I know Emera is not on the renewals side, but i have a large cap gain and I don't want to pay the tax. There are other reasons to keep it, too}. Then, I have Enb and transcanada, which I would plan to sell if they come back a bit. I currently have about 9% in utilities where I think you recommend 15 for a retired person; but I am ok with that and am overweight technology and industrials. could you suggest a name or some names which would round out in a balanced way such a sector allocation?
thanks as always for the great service

Q: I'm considering adding one oil & gas stock to my portfolio. If you were going to buy only one oil and gas stock for your portfolio, which one would it be? Who would the runner up be? I'm not looking for an ETF. I'm a growth investor, not a dividend investor, generally looking to avoid anything that's too highly levered. Thanks.
