Q: UBER is my favorite stocks for the future. People living close to work do not need a car. People moving to downtown high risers would not have to pay parking in their condos , They don't need a car. Uber sharing Food deliveries What else ? Uber wins RAK
Q: Was hoping you could shed some insight to the drop in General Mills share price. Considering the P/E@12.9, are the earnings falling because of loss market or is there something else going on corporately?
Always appreciate your excellent service.
Ted.
Q: Everyone, I don’t trade very much, I am a buy and hold person. Keep the best of the best stocks. But I regularly look at charts to see were the stocks is at certain times. The 50, 100 and 200 MVA. Also RSI. I know you use financial metrics but do the charts have a benefit to individual investors? Or should they be used in combination with finial metrics? Which is more important? Clayton
Q: I hold BIPC and ABBV in a US TFSA account. I want to add GOOG. I know that there is a 15% unrecoverable witholding tax on dividends and no tax on capital gains when withdrawal occurs. Since I will not be withdrawing for 5 to 10 years Should I keep these in the TFSA account or move them to a unregstered account? 80 year old value investor with some growth stocks.
I currently hold both VRT and NBIS. Is there too much duplication/overlap between the two? If that is the case which would you reduce to have only one position?
Q: Given CIBC downgrade of LUG today do you see this as indicator that some of the bigger names in gold will consolidate for a while? Might it be time to adjust the mix of gold holdings?
Q: Hi,
Maybe I'm late joining the party but would you have suggestions on how to invest in the European military spending that is forthcoming? Any specific stocks and/or ETFs?
Thanks
Q: I would like to narrow this list down to the best 10 to hold in a long term taxable portfolio. What would you suggest be the top 10 stocks? I currently hold all of them but would like to sell this down to 10. I like holding 10 stocks with about 10% in each as a risk/reward balance. Thank you - and thanks for some of these names which came from you! I am only down on Amazon and BN at this time.
Q: I realize that you are not much of a fan of DCBO these days given your preference for DTOL and that you removed it from your growth profile. But I'm wondering if this company might be looked at as a potential takeover candidate. Three points to consider:
1. There have been recent articles indicating that the next 18 months could see a real pickup in M&A activity within the Canadian software sector;
2. Following recent earnings, analysts revised their targets for DCBO downwards. Notwithstanding this, the average target is still $72.17, almost 70% higher than our current share price; and
3. Most significantly, two weeks ago, Warburg Pincus LLC anted up over $5.4M to purchase 118K shares (@$45.49) and they now own 12% of the company.
Across all portfolios, we are under-represented in the gold sector, having only a small holding in the CGL.C ETF,
If investing today, in what order would you put new money into the three stocks AEM, FNV, and WPM, or is there a case to be made to invest equal amounts in all three, assuming there's no significant overlap?
As always, thanks for your assistance in making an informed decision.
Q: I realize that these markets have been challenging but the stock price of FORA has fallen 37% in the past month. This is despite the fact that a number of analysts increased their targets (now ranging from $14.50 to $19.00) following the release of their latest earnings.
is this stock being played? As always , would appreciate your analysis of their earnings and what you think is going on here.
