Q: Hi,

Do you see a pathway for SMCI to be re-listed again in NASDAQ? What are the impediments/enhancers for it to achieve this goal? What do you think is the probability of it suceeding? (In terms of percentage) And if they do succeed, when do you think it will happen? 2025? or 2026? To my untarined and non-professional eyes, SMCI mgmt seem to be doing the right things. But then that's what I thought before it tanked :)
How many Billions they have to pay to settle the law suits or make them go away? If they decide to issue more shares to deal with all these issues, the stock may go down further, no?

Q: What is the difference between ROE and ROIC and which should investors focus on (if not both)? For growth, what would be a favoured % range to mind? Thanks!

Q: The 6 stocks are down from their peak
Which of these would you buy at today's price and in what order? Can you order them in terms of growth potential for a 5 year hold and also for risk. Thanks

Q: These are 3 Canadian stalwarts in my kids' RESP. Expected 1st year of withdrawal is 2035.
CSU - today's price is $4481 ish
ATD - today's price is $79 ish
BN - today's price is $82 ish

I only have enough money to add to 2 of the 3 positions today. Which 2 names would you add to, at today's prices?

Q: Hi 5i Team,

I have held DFY for awhile and have doubled my investment. Experience has taught me to take some money off the table when one of my stocks has reached this point. I'm thinking about selling 1/3 of the position and reinvesting the rest in 2 or 3 of the following stocks:

I have partial positions in BCE, EIF, NWC, WCN and X
I have full positions in T and TD and open to averaging down

My questions are:

1) Would you trim a position in DFY given current market conditions?

2) How do you currently rank the 7 other stocks listed

3) Would you add to existing positions in T and/or TD given their current outlooks or look elsewhere?

These are a held in a TFSA and are planned to be 15-20 year holds

Thanks for the Great Service and Happy New Year!

Colin

Q: We are at equal weight, full positions [2 O&G stocks, 2 midstream]. Our goals are dividend growth, some capital appreciation. My question is whether we should overweight midstream over O&G stocks given 1. macro/ political [Trump tariff threat and preference for lower O&G prices], and 2. data centre demand.

Q: I am only interested in holding Canadian Long Term Compounders. I am looking for companies with decent ROIC, ROE and good balance sheets and preferably owner/operators with skin in the game. In the Canadian space of my portfolio I hold CSU, ATD and TFII. My question is could you provide to me 10 small and mid cap Canadian names that you would feel would make the best long term compounders to hold for at least 5-10 years.

Q: When you have time ......... copper stocks have been soft of late and I assume this is in response to the EV sector which has been under pressure - yet my understanding is that the grid sorely needs upgrading, which I assume requires new copper lines, while some of the other participants in the electrical sector have done well which suggests a buoyant sector. So I am confused as future demand in particular appears to exceed available supply - and Dr Copper has underperformed the market. What is the outlook for copper?

Q: ETF investing is new to me. I have invested a bit of monies with Harvest etf in the last couple of months. Could I have your opinion on Harvest please. Are some of their funds better than others? Are their leveraged funds really risky. Do you like a better company and if so why?
Just renewed membership. It is getting too many to count. Thanks for your advice Ken

Q: I've owned IQLT for a few years now. I've noticed that the VEA top holdings are quite similar to IQLT, but at a significantly reduced MER. Is it really worth paying that much more to continue to hold IQLT? Maybe you have better insight on the differences between the two than I do (?)
