Q: Another brutal day for Linamar on the markets. On 6/28 you advised it was looking "interesting". Does it look even more interesting today? I have a minor position taken about 90 days ago and I hate to catch a falling knife but my hands are already bloody...think its wise to expose even more skin?
Q: I am surprised that there has not been a question about the 15%+ slide by Magna shares in the last 10 days. So here goes! In your view, is this slide solely due to the flight to safety post Brexit or are there other factors in MG being hit particularly hard in this period?
Q: What are your thoughts on this company? What do you believe is the price target for this stock?
Q: Hi:
Can you comment on your rationale for adding NFI to the Balanced Equity Portfolio?
Thanks!

Q: I presently do not have any investments in US stock and am strongly considering changing that. I am currently watching the following US stocks and would appreciate your opinion on my selection..Apple, GE, Gilead, Wells fargo, Walt Disney,Honeywell and Canadian Solar. How would you rank them and are there other US stock that you would suggest I consider. Are there any in my list that you would not recommend. My investment goals are probably typical. I am looking for dividend income and growth over a 2/3 year period.
Q: Temple Hotels has announced a strategic review. Given Morguard's substantial interest in Temple, does the fact of the review suggest that Morguard is not interested in taking majority control of Temple's properties (as the extent of their ownership suggested)?
Q: Would you please give your assessment of MNW going forward. I am currently down by about 30%, should I ride with it for another quarter or 2/or longer, or just eat the loss and move on to something else? Thanks.

Q: hello,
I watch BNN news on the regular. I have been noticing that the general market overview appears to be pessimistic for the approaching years. Many of the BNN guest are talking about a recession soon and a probable housing bust. What are your thoughts?

Q: Oil down today and many energy names down with it, including RMP. Do you still see this name as a takeover target? Would this be a good time to buy RMP for a 2 year hold? ($1.20CAD)
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: What is your outlook for this Canexus Debenture? CUS.DB.D
Q: It's really sad that Valeant can't even get their corporate executive lineup correct. It currently lists Papa as Chairman & Mike Pearson as Chief Executive! Not much further to go now for the auction block!
Q: What do you think of this REIT? It pays out 8.3% and seems to have a payout ratio of 50%. Owns properties in Europe. Four bank researchers target a 5-10 % increase in value as well.
Q: Any reason for the recent volatility of Airboss share price?
Q: Good afternoon! As a retired dividend investor, I've held Crombie as a full holding for a number of years, having bought at a good margin of safety (now up 22%). I am concerned that their dividend has not grown since March of 2007 (a 4.7% raise then), and their payout ratio has remained in the 90% range (often more) on AFFO in spite of a number of acquisitions. The distribution is very good, of course, (currently 5.86%) but growth in payable funds seems to be nil on a per share basis. Eventually, inflation will erode the magnitude of the distribution if they fail to grow in an accretive way.
I am considering moving on to another 5-6% dividend payer. Could I have your comments on Crombie as to whether there is something I am not seeing here that should make me want to keep it - i.e. is my thinking correct? Also, if I do switch, which might you recommend that might pay similarly yet have some chance for growth? I am not specifically looking for a similar commercial REIT. (FYI, my current full holdings include STB, RSI, RNW, ECI, BNS (half, should I increase?), PPL, and SIA)
Thanks!
Paul

Q: Hello 5i team,
Although 5i Research does not follow normally US Companies I wonder if you have an opinion about Equinix a US Company that operates interconnected data centers across the globe. (EQIX) The share price has quadrupled since 2012 it seems to be in the right space benefiting immensely from Cloud Computing but it has a very high P/E multiple (289 according to www.theglobeandmail/globe-investor).
Thanks

Q: Can you please comment on the switch from FEZ to VE in the Money Saver model portfolio? Thank-you.
Q: I got wacked on my WEQ shares yesterday. A drop of 50%+ is it worth hanging on to see if they can get this watered down company headed in the right direction. Will the troubles of Fort McMurray be a real boon for this company and others like Badger and Black Diamond? Who are the winners in Fort McMurray. mike
Q: Hi,
I have a diversified portfolio consisting with the majority of my money being in etfs: XIU, XEI, VTI and VXUS
I use a spreadsheet to calculate my sector allocation.
At this present moment in the macroeconomic cycle, should I be equally weighted across the 12 sectors ?
If not, in which sectors should I be under and over weighted respectively ?
