Q: I have a recollection that about a month or two ago you suggested a company engaged in artificial intelligence that would be a cheaper alternative to Nvidia. Can you remind me of the name of this company? Thanks.

Q: I am hoping that you might have some comments on this US stock. As I see it, It seems to have many of the things you look for - manageable debt (I think), high
5-year dividend growth (including today's announcement), decent sales growth, high return on equity. Do you see it as a buy for the long term?

I am up $6,000 on MMM of the the lost value is $15,500. I just bought $5,000 of GS. Should I reduce MMM by $5000 and buy another $5,000 of GS? I have a $600,000 in equities and this GS purchase would bring me up to 20% financials.

I am considering Raging River for a position but hope for your comments on Parsley Energy as an alternative. I already own Spartan Energy. Eric Nuttall seems high on the US producers and has mentioned this as a favourite. Currency movement may add appeal on Parsley? Which would you suggest for a new position and why? Q: Please provide comments on Hanesbrands. Share price has pulled back in the last few days. I believe due to lower Q4 and FY expectations. Is the recent price drop over done. Currently HBI represents 3% of my portfolio. Should I consider this a buying opportunity or just hold. Are there other Consumer Products I should consider?

I like the new features of the website. At first I found the larger font size and line spacing difficult. Changing the zoom setting (from 100% to 80%) for the browser tab has improved it for me.

Q: Hello, I see that AT&T has not been doing very well, actually down by about 22% since the beginning of the year. How do you explain that poor performance? Should we switch for another name in the same sector? Regards, Gervais

Q: Hi team,
New website looks great; cleaner and simpler to use. I own two of the FAANG stocks; FB and GOOG. I am overweight FB, but I don’t always trim my winners unless I see heightened risk going forward. Anyway, all FAANG stocks that reported earnings in past week or so, plus MSFT, crushed earnings. All FAANG and MSFT got some nice price gains and held those gains. FB did not and they had a blow-out quarter. It seems every quarter Zuckerberg warns of upcoming big spending on the next big issue. One quarter it was video. This quarter it is the need for much tighter security on ads with all the fuss about fake news and the Russians trying to influence the election. FB and GOOG have been dragged before Congressional committees, although FB seems to be getting most of the heat. FB has said it will hire another 10,000 employees to vet ads and stories for authenticity.
What is your view of FB going forward from here? What is the likelihood that Congress would come down hard on FB (and GOOG) and maybe regulate parts of their businesses? Or will Zuckerberg be able to deflect all this heat with the measures he is taking and FB’s earnings will power ahead without missing a beat?

Q: I bought QCOM a couple of months ago with the intention of holding this longterm for the dividend. In light of the potential takeover by Broadcom, what should I do now and/or if/when it gets taken over? If I have to find a replacement, which US tech-sector stock would you endorse for a generous, stable dividend (preferably >3% if possible) and modest growth, for a longterm hold?

Q: Hi RCII received another, lower offer, from same party as in past today. The stock is up significantly this morning, but ~20% to make between now and $13 offer price. Why do you think there is the large gap between market price and offer price?

Q: Hi Team, Every day for the last week I have been following this stock on the OTC website. My friend bought some 30 days ago at .30 cents, today the stock is $2.29 and he is now up 660%. How can this penny stock be rocketing into outer space with an average daily trade volume of 20,000s? I mean look at the OTC site...the share offerings are in the 100s. It seems to me it's breaking all the trading rules ever thought of. Up, up, and away.....how high will the stock go....and there is no news and no Insider trading?? CRAZY!!!

Q: I tried to read your answer to a question on Wayfair from August 5/16, but it wouldn't open. (Maybe a glitch with the new site.)
