Q: Curious to hear your thoughts on starting a position in Markel (about a 3% position). The stock has got beaten up lately and from what I've read some of this weakness seems to be from the Equities they hold being down with the rest of the market when they reported earnings last. Many of these have recovered well. It looks like a good US stock for a TFSA because it doesn't pay a dividend. Planning to hold for 15+ years.

For yield , some growth and some safety, which is the better investment to add to my current holdings, KMB, PG, UL, or CLX in my RRSP. Thank-you in advance.Sam

Q: yes, BIIB made a disappointing announcement yesterday and the stock price dropped like heavy rock, down 30%....sure it is a growth company...but going forward, I am not sure why I should remain with a position in it......what is your take now for the future?.......and should I hold for now until it settles down, if I decide to sell.........thanks.....Tom

Q: Question on Boeing. Christmas eve it was under $300 without the threat of mass cancelations and potential litigation staring at it. With all of the uncertainty ahead of it how the heck is it holding at $370? It seems to be bouncing down and hovering there as though supported by something. What's your take?

Q: Good day,

Could you tell me which sector this company belongs to ? According to TSX, it is a consumer cyclical but the company describes itself as tech/computer services.
And what is your assessment for this stocks which appears undervalued, has momentum and has tripled in one year ? Would you buy it at this point for further growth ? Is there any worthwhile competition in its field which would be better ?
Many, many thanks for your considerate views.
JD
