Q: What do you think about nibbling a the Russell 2000 right now? I think it will present a tremendous buy if the markets really drop. Thoughts on this move?

Q: i have owned this stock for 2 years. Looking at the insider buying, The CEO and Chairman have been buying large chunks of shares over the past year (and as recent as last week) as the stock has dropped from +/-$6 to $1.40 .... is it worth a buy at these levels.
Q: What is their balance sheet?
Would you buy them and in what order?
Thank you for great service.

Q: Hi Folks,
I'm looking to harvest a loss in this account which has a June 30 year end. I have substantial losses in both named companies. In your opinion is this a good plan? Should I re-purchase either or both in 30 days?
Thanks for your help.
Dennis

Q: Hi Peter and Ryan,
Hope you both well.
Roku is now trading at around $82 and change. From a valuation perspective ,is it now cheap ?
I have a small position in the stock and wanted to add another small position.
Your comments are always appreciated.

Q: Recently I've see Docusign coming up regularly when people ask for your top US tech stocks. What has you excited about them?
Q: I read an article that suggest that the US has essentially moved the FED's role to the Treasury Dept, thereby giving control (more at least) to the Trump admin. First, do you see this as the case, and second, if they were to devalue the US dollar as Trump has often called for to better compete with the world, and this brought structural support to the political move away from China and ROTW imports and boosted a reemergence of the US manufacturing/supply-chain system, what companies would look like a steal today ten years from now?
Q: Thoughts on this company, is it a buy at current levels? how long would you expect for it to recover? is the dividend safe?
Q: Question about ZM,
I know you mentioned in an old comment that ZM is trading at a crazy ~20x sales multiple... is that forward sales estimates and is that incorporating the recent surge of sales due to COVID?
I know it is a hyped stock, but in the last 2 weeks I went from not knowing about zoom to all my work life being through zoom and now my social life as well though group zoom chats. I know from a work perspective I will keep using zoom... it seems like a large chunk of the developed world has been recently introduced to their product (and it is a good product)
When have estimates been revised, what are the forward sales and earnings multiples now, and do you think it is a buy?

Q: You had previously given the following criteria to judge momentum stocks: "For momentum we like a rising stock price with increasing volume, positive earnings surprises, accelerating earnings, analysts' upgrades and target prices. "
Would I be correct in assuming that in the current markets, we need to think more like value investors, however, than momentum investors? If my observation is correct how does one then analyze value stocks?
Appreciate your insight.
Paul F.

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan
Could you name a few Candian and US companies that are great capital compounders? Which ones, in your opinion, have a "Reinvestment Moat", i.e. they have a moat and also have a long runway of opportunities to deploy incremental capital at high rates into the foreseeable future? As a next best alternative, companies with a good moat and exceptionally strong capital allocators.
Thank you!

Q: Hi I asked this question earlier. You answered with dividend paying stocks (thanks). but if your were not considering only dividend payers, what would be your choices?
thanks
thanks as always for your level headed thinking. I have a number of CAN dividend stocks as the core of my holdings. I now have cash that I want to deploy over the next couple of months. what are your top 5-10 US stocks (no regard to sector) that you recommend based on a 5 year hold.
Michele

Q: I realize that in a recovery as you’ve noted, individual stocks will do better than ETF’s. If I’m looking for growth over a three to five year time frame would you suggest buying both SMU and XLK Or a list of individual stocks that could include MSFT JPM V WMT INTC ? I suppose a combination of the two options is also possible. This is for US exposure and it’ll be in my TFSA account which is presently sitting in cash. I believe you’d also suggest buying back in gradually. Thoughts. Thnks
Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Hope you're all staying safe!
I believe there is a secular push for clean energy around the globe and I also want to expand the global exposure relative to Canadian markets in the portfolio so I'm thinking of adding some ETFs like ICLN to help me in both these regards. How do you feel about this for new purchases for planned long term holding.

Q: Which three robust Airlines and Cruise lines or travel ETF's internationally will be a good buy in current situation for long term investment.
Your opinions are valuable. Thank you.

Q: Goldman Sachs downgraded SYK from Buy to Sell and slashed TP. I'm sure this is because of SYK pulling their guidance for Q1. A Sell seems quite radical especially in light of the fact that Citi maintained a Buy but also cut TP. Your thoughts.

Q: Hello friends,
Is it possible to run a screen on all 4 major NA markets TSX, S&P 500, DOW and NASDAQ for the top 10 companies of which stock prices have appreciated in the past (dreadful) month? Perhaps make this another blog subject? It should be interesting.
All the best.
PS Kudos to Peter for his astounding patience with everyone! It's something I'm trying hard to achieve every day, but Peter leaves me in the dust. Much to learn from his example.

Q: Thinking about investment implications of this crisis. In a recent investigation by Assoiated Press it was reported that " The critical shortage of medical supplies across the U.S. (Canada?), including testing swabs, protective masks, surgical gowns and hand sanitizer, can be tied to a sudden drop in imports, mostly from China". Do you think there will now be a new emphasis on domestic manufacture and if so where might one find the companies that would benefit?
Thanks
Mike
