Q: I hold psa in my tfsa for cash purposes. I am looking at moving proceeds to either hdiv or Dxq for cash holdings. Would you please compare these 2 etfs and would you recommend one over the other for stated purpose. Thanx.

Q: A couple of questions.
1. Do you believe we are in an AI bubble with all these high P/E ratios and continued media coverage of AI.
2, That said what would be your top 3 AI stock picks and top 3 AI ETF choices.

Thank you,
Richard

Q: Good day. Today (June 20, 2024) nvidia stock dropped about 3.5%: however, the Nvidia CDR that we acquire in Canadian dollars dropped almost double this amount. Normally the ADR stock moves pretty much in line with the US stock. Is there any reason for this difference today? I believe I saw something similar a fews days ago with some other stock (or etf?). Thanks again.

Q: Hi, Celestica stock declined sharply, 5.5% in Thursday's trading. Following an afternoon reversal of many high flying semi names, the peripherals also followed suit and lost ground. Do you think, CLS's drop was also simply sector related or it had something to do with company's announcement of upsizing their Bank Credit facility to $1.5 Billion ?

Thank You

Q: AMD’s share price has been going downwards, a direction opposite to most other major semiconductor companies. AMD’s business model seems sound and its newer chips, expected later this year, are said to be slimmer, more heat-efficient and much faster. Those chips should thus be in higher demand by manufacturers of PCs, and servers. Newer AI-equipped PCs need more powerful semis, and AMD is major supplier. Although AMD’s share price was up significantly in recent years, I have a rather large holding and large loss (down 22% in months-- unusual for semi companies). I read numerous analyst reports, 10Ks , other SEC filings and miscellaneous financial reviews. AMD sounds like a great business , so I wonder what I am missing. Granted, the business’ recent financials were poor , and unexpectedly below expectations. I am undecided whether to add to my position or harvest a tax loss. I am reluctant to sell just for tax reasons. Could be hard to get back in as good , high growth companies tend to run away from you.

1. I would appreciate your insight (substance please).
2. Financial ratios I have seen vary more than usual , surprisingly so, including data in otherwise reliable sources. Please, what do you show for :
Trailing P/E,
Forward P/E,
PEG ratio
3. Are you reasonably confident in AMD’s business model, and demand for its upcoming products-- the company's prospects?
Many thanks.

Q: Good morning,

I was wondering if you could look in to your crystal ball and predict where we may find KXS 5-10-15 years from now....not necessarily the price, but just in general.

To me, it seems like KXS is not widely known, but is establishing itself as a quiet market leader. I like that they don't issue shares. What could the future hold - a take-out candidate? a dividend? dual-listing? I know they make some acquisitions, but will they continue to make more? Could this be an international leader in supply-chain one day? With a market cap of aprox. $4.3 billion could it one day scale to a larger Canadian tech name (e.g. $10 billion+)? Will that PE ratio ever come down? I know there is a report on it, just more considering what the future may hold....

Q: As you are well aware, Bitcoin has been taking off all over the world. When I watch interviews of people at conventions, it appears most are investing to protect against inflation and to counter the demise of the US dollar in the future. What are you're opinions on this? I realize it has been very volatile and risky, so do have any recommendations on technology linked to Bitcoin, but so far hasn't taken off?

thanks,

Paul
